1930 Ford Model A- this is in front of a tea room in Hickory, PA
They are moving to this location and are remodeling the building. Seems like it will be a hit. A real attention getter.

Just an old car in the bluebonnets, lol. Can't resist. It's bluebonnet time again and I haven't even been out. I went out one day only last year with a group, and this was a quick shot with my tablet. It is on a ranch on the bluebonnet trails which are miles and miles of state and county roads that criss-cross the farm land out of Ennis, Texas, about 40 minutes south of Dallas. If I don't go out this year, the least I can do is pull something out of the files. I have plenty of those, lol.
Much to my surprise, this shot made Explore #103. Thanks everyone. Again, THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!!!! I'm stunned.

It's a 1930 or '31 Ford Model A coupe that's been customized as a street rod. Chances are, this one does not have its original engine and drive train.
The owner stated to me that his aim of creating this street rod was to have it appear as what might be featured in custom car or hot rodding magazines of the late 1950s to early 1960s. What appears to be a finned brake drum actually conceals a modern disc brake system. What looks like an electrical generator with its characteristic black cylindrical body actually houses a modern alternator. The body is 'channeled' in that the floor can sit lower on the frame rails. The frame rails are also 'Zeed' (cutting in a mitered offset) just ahead of the firewall to allow the body to sit even lower to the ground. See my later photo posted below in the Comments area.
The grille shell is that for a 1932 Ford but shortened in height to suit so that the sight line between it and the top of the cowl appears correct relative to the stance of the vehicle. The frame seems to be that taken from a Ford Model A, with modifications as described above. The body appears to be a 1932 5-window coupé.
1931 Model A Pickup .... been wanted to play with this truck photo for some time now. Might have been better to play with it during the winter months .... but got the calling today.

If I had to guess, this one appears to be an older restoration. I the headlights have received modern retrofits and the condition of the car seems much better than what an unrestored original 90+ year old car would look like. Yet it doesn’t appear to be in pristine condition, either.

The owner of this 1928 Ford Model 'A' told me that he still does light deliveries around town using this lovely old timer. Long may she keep on delivering!
In place of the original 4-cylinder engine, this one has a flathead V-8 engine fed by 2 carburetors (twin Strombergs?). The cab floor has been ‘channeled’ to set it lower onto the frame rails. The steering linkage has an interesting shape.

Pezo tanke modela 1 de 155 mm kanona modifaja 1 (sturmo) was an assault armored vehicle utilizing a conservative casemated gun scheme, more suitable for a 1940's tank destroyer. Still, it was classified as a heavy assault tank by the army of Asparantia due to its level of protection. Helika ("Helix"/"Snail" in Asparanto language) was armed with the 155-mm anti-tank gun in the casemate which allowed for respectable horizontal gun traverse of 50 degrees to each side. 12.7-mm anti-aircraft machine gun was placed in the dedicated turret. Additional equipment includes a vehicle snorkel to retain driving capabilities being submerged - the "Helix" is too heavy to use any of standard bridges.
Once again the fuel for my blatant plagiarism flows from the United States - obviously, a general idea of T28/T95 super-heavy prototype combined with the casemate layout of a vehicle draft mostly known as the "T28 Heavy Tank Concept". Hull shape, however, was borrowed from the German Jagdpanther. Rangefinder "ears" draw inspiration from the T29-T34 series of American heavy tanks.
Trial fitting the hood and grill shell. So far everything seems to be proportional. Might want to bring the front end up a little more for a little added clearance underneath.

do you see this face ^ this is a face that is screaming "I NEED MODELS!!!!"
okay maybe not screaming, but pleading.
seriously guys, Im am so sick of my face. I would really like to shoot other people. preferably who are not terribly awkward when someone else is taking their picture, unlike myself, and who also arent all, you know... overly confident, that will just make me awkward...-er. oh and someone who lives in good ol' jo-ja (that's Georgia, for all of you who dont know) or just the south east in general. We can work it out.
Legero tanke modela 2 de 90 mm malrapido kanona modifaja 1 (parasutaj) was developed by the request of Asparantian Air Forces to provide an airborne armored vehicle capable of performing general tasks such as reconnaissance and limited anti-tank support. The Fajrocime, or "Firebug", was armed with 90-mm low velocity smoothbore cannon equipped with HESH and HEAT rounds. The main armament is paired with coaxial 12.7-mm machine gun.
Loosely based on various airborne vehicles of the "fifties" era - starting with the well-known Engin Leger de Combat to the more obscure ones such as 1955 Chimera tank destroyer (generally known as a "Manticore light tank" thanks to one certain videogame)

I couldn't resist posting this photo today. It was taken on the fourth of July, 2014 at the parade in Paris, Idaho, but I used it as #17 in my 1 to 100 project. The owner and driver is Vaughn Pugmire, and we went to his 90th birthday party today. He is a great guy who has given us rides in his two restored Model A's, and used to bring us lots of fresh vegetables from his big garden. He can't manage a garden anymore, but is still fun to visit with.
