An HO scale model of the 1832 locomotive South Carolina. Designed by Horatio Allen in 1831, South Carolina was built by the West Point Foundy in New York, and shipped to Charleston, South Carolina. It was the first double ended, articulated steam locomotive in the world. I've built this HO scale model based on drawings of the locomotive made by Christian Detmold in the 1830s.
This was a portfolio image made for a male model who wanted to add something unusual to his offering. We went out to the Stingray Sandbar in my boat for unusual shots with the stingrays. This was shot on film pre-2001. Mikah has been on a cover with Nicole Kidman, among his many credits, so he is an accomplished model.
Not a good picture, but I need to determine the model year. 1927 was the last year before it was replaced by the Model A. Could this be a '27?
My granddaughters are natural models. Of course their sister is always taking photos.

Found this dress at a garage sale for 2 dollars.. was so jazzed!!
It has little leather circles with a small brass brad in the middle of each one.
