My new 60s makeup!

Superstar and MOD era Barbies are my favorite.

I dont have many MOD girls because theyre not easy to find in good condition within my budget.

Left to right:

Sweet 16 Barbie in an outfit I made. The fishnets were made from a free online pattern and were very easy to make.

Her boots were from an online store.

Live Action Barbie (my fave, shes precious in person) missing an arm fringe :(

and a Talking Barbie (mute) I made her belt and purse :D She has ribbons in her hair now ,she kinda needed them.

i feel something missing but idk what i'm missing

Ken is bringing some of his favorite LPs to listen to at Barbie's pad

i gave her an Volks EB beauty body (white skin).

I just love her face up and hair , so 60's.

MOD of the LEGO 7965 Millenium Falcon

One of those action cam clones bought very cheaply on an Amazon offer. It has a fixed focus lens which does not focus very close up but adding a Raynox dcr-250 to the front ( I simply cut a hole in the back lens cover which fits over the action cam lens) enables it to focus down to about 3" away. It also has WIFI remote view/control capability

Yes, this is a Holga -- plus a lot of trickery. I didn't mean to add the brown gradient, but I liked it, so it stayed. The border is from an old polaroid.

The cockpit has also been rebuilt with a new interior. It was important for me that there is a direct access to the cockpit from the inner areas of the Falcon. In the 7965 set the location of the cockpit is wrong, so I moved it a bit backwards. That was the most difficult part of this MOD because I of the stability of the model.

So, the plan was to wire in the AAA batteries so I could disconnect them and put a CR2 back in, or change what sort of power supply I'm using. I also wanted to switch to the 1/8" miniphone cord to completely get away from PC cords.

The case is a little tighter than I expected, so I had to eliminate the ability to put in a CR2, but I can probably later mod it back if this turns out to be a total failure.

(FYI, it works great. I've had it on for several hours without problems. The tests I did were done with the batteries after several hours of playing: www.flickr.com/photos/63856254@N00/348235560/in/photostream/ )

The main reason for the battery mod is so I don't need to buy $10 CR2's, and can just buy $0.50 worth of AAA's before moderately important shoots. (Very important shoots, I'll probably rent PW's)
