A delight to see and and the scent was wonderful ! Photographed in a front garden as I gave Marnie a late afternoon walk around the block. So good to meet neighbours I didn't know existed, simply walking round the block 😃.

I think this is Philadelphus Lemoinei (you may disagree) !

Hope you like it. Thank you to everyone who looks and leaves me a fave, or comment. Enjoy the weekend to come. I'm off to mow the lawn - back later !

This weathered old fence seemed to provide a perfect background for the lovely branches and blossoms that were creeping through, just as the sun was setting….

Hello there,

The Mock Orange bushes are just beginning to bloom. If the weather is just right and they are in full bloom, these flowers emit a lovely perfume. And if you're wondering if they produce oranges, no, they are strictly ornamental shrubs.

Thanks a million for stopping by and for leaving me a comment. I do love hearing from you!

Have a marvelous day!

Our Mock Orange bush is in flower at present and the Sun obliged to make the image.

I found some pink poppies that were in front of a mock orange bush at a local park. For fun, I decided to play a bit with the scene by using a watercolour effect in Topaz Studio. I hope you enjoy! Have a wonderful day! HSS!

I just discovered something I did not know I had, taking photos by my hedges I saw one of my Mock orange had totally different petals and another with 5,

The foliage on all 3 are exactly the same with woody body and stems, nice to see after 35 years I still discover:-)

That is remote are on the yard I don't go often.

Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites.

Pittosporum tobira is a species of sweet-smelling flowering plant. It is native to Japan, China, Taiwan, and Korea, but it is used throughout the world as an ornamental plant in landscaping and as cut foliage. Flowers are changing from white to yellow - when opened - white, when finish to bloom - dark yellow. As a result, flowers of different tones from white to dark yellow are visible at the same time in one bunch.

Composition should become intuitive; I now see mostly in terms of color, form, light, and shadow.

Philadelphus (mock orange) is blooming in summer and has a strong fragrance.

This is from one the 3 mock orange bushes in my backyard. Every summer, the light and sweet fragrance is one of my favorite treats that my backyard offered.

The mock orange flowers are finally open in the backyard.

So many to choose from, but I wanted to focus on just one.

Plant from genus Pittosporum, probably Pittosporum tobira (from the flowers). This sun resistant and prolific plant is also known as Japanese pittosporum – or mock orange, due to its orange-like scent.
