had the time of her life! She loved it all, the new smells, the swimming and the running on new trails. It was a pleasure to see her having fun. The picture is not quiet sharp and the focus isn't very well, but I love the pose.

On a kitchen counter in the abandoned residential neighborhood on the hill above Hunters Point Naval Shipyard, San Francisco, CA. About 20 perfectly good houses, untouched for 30 years. Torn down as part of the redevelopment of the base in 2006. Large enough to see the racoon footprints.

A neighbor has two of these - I had to ask what they were. They are dogs I care not to tangle with. IN six years I have never seen them outside of their yard.
Using the old chex mix recipe but instead of chex, pretzels, etc I used soy beans, corn nuts, pine nuts, fritos, and almonds. It was delish!

Week 36 theme: Favorite snack food
we've been working on this for awhile. we wanted the right mix of whole grain flours to starches, to create a mix that would work for nearly everything.
in our kitchen, we make up big batches of this, store it in a cambro, and bring out 140 grams of it when we want to bake. mix it with other whole grain flours, like millet or teff or oat, and you have a powerful baking combo.
here it is.
All-Purpose Gluten-Free Flour Mix
300 grams superfine brown rice flour
250 grams sweet rice flour
150 grams tapioca flour
100 grams sorghum flour
100 grams potato starch
100 grams cornstarch
