Surprising aerography on Mitsubishi Lancer

It's been almost full 14 years since I took this photo. At that time, I barely knew what a DSLR is, and definitely didn't have one. But, there was that really cool location, a car I drove at that time was looking reasonably good, and I had a great idea - this photo. Since that day, I've been trying to copy that early-1980s car magazine looks, but to no avail.
Taken with Olympus Camedia C-5000z compact digital camera, using its built-in 38–114mm-equivalent lens. I would like to take credit for a good exposure, but that wasn't me, the camera was in program mode.
...you still want to ride new routes. I promisse you to do my best, even if you sometimes feel tired.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evo is a high performance car. There have been ten versions to date, since the models inception in 1992. All use two litre turbocharged engines and are all wheel drive. Originally intended only for Japan, the cars international popularity and grey imports led to the car being offered through the Ralliart dealer network in the UK.
The Evolution VI's changes mainly focused on cooling and engine durability. It received a larger intercooler, larger oil cooler, and new pistons, along with a titanium-aluminide turbine wheel for the RS model with Output was rated at 280 PS (276 hp; 206 kW). The Evolution VI received new bodywork, most noticeable change being within the front bumper where the huge fog lights were reduced in size and moved to the corners for better airflow.
