By now, everyone knows there is nothing in everything....
---Judson Mitcham, from "In the Kingdom of the Air"
I visited this spot (and took this photo) a couple of years back. Recently I revisited with a different camera, different lens and different attitude.
Railway station at Lower Mitcham in full light mode. Very quiet there at about 10:30pm but lots and lots of glarey light.

Having uploaded the picture of 4-SUB unit 4279 at West Croydon, I discovered that I had also photographed it a month before, seen here working from Epsom Downs to London Bridge on 26 November 1975.

For a reason I am not aware of WS91 has been delivered with an all red front, lacking the typical black headlight surrounds that all of GAL's other Streetlites feature.
There is one of these "Mixed Blessings" bakeries in Camberwell. Perhaps it's a small chain of shops. I understand what they hope to imply with the name, but "Mixed Blessings" somehow doesn't convey the right meaning.
