From my year-old, unsuccessful shot collection:
Those who remember the '70s and '80s would probably realize the marketing downside to naming an investment center "Superfund." But then again, most of this capital has turned toxic in the year since I've taken this shot, so maybe they were prescient.
My mate Robin....again. It seems he wanted to play car pinball after a long strait in New York. He was hoping to sideswipe me into the barriers and gracefully turn...what he did was barely hit my wing mirror before he piled into the crash barrier with his face. I just like the image of him trying to brake even as his car has gone past the point of having no traction.
He wanted to get some sun, but the only thing he got was snow.
Safety shot for today, it's been wet all day and I have little inspiration. But there's always a willing model around. Had put him on the windowsill, but still he got a little bit wet.
When I left Manitoba for the Yukon, their slogan was "Friendly Manitoba."
Nothing wrong with that!
But by the time I got back, it'd been changed to "Manitoba: Spirited Energy", and the ad campaign - which was less than helpful in detailing what the flying hell "spirited energy" actuall was - indicated that the only people living in Manitoba were women and visible minorities.
Way to go, Manitoba!
How much did this cost again...?
(In my eyes, "Spirited Energy" is a massive, if not quite brilliant, mistake. But it's still better than "Saskatchewan!")
are the most beautiful works of art
i had to crop tight due to the flash blowing out the right portion of the scene; but it allowed me to just frame it up in square format
and frankly, i haven't got a clue who shot this... but whatever
