A proud day for Tate Online... we received our Webby Award through the post today. Can't quite remember when we managed to squeeze in the development of a free world wide travel guide, but then again Wikitravel are probably looking equally bemused at a trophy engraved with the word Dumpster....
Weed's too small, Ken and Kage are too chunky and GB's face looks weird. And that Collie's eyes freak me out.
As a journalist, it amuses me when the editorial tools we are given to work with contain spelling and grammar mistakes. For my original blog post, see engineroomblog.blogspot.com/2009/01/editorial-tools-not-e...
i really have no idea what happened here, i was hoping someone could figure it out, i don't think it was a double exposure
another one of those weird shots that was NOT what I was planning. It was dusk, and the flash fired, but didn't light up the background as it did in other shots

this would be the last of the "set" that i just put up.
this one is my favorite, and also the biggest screw up. the flash went off before i was able to get out of frame. so that's me running out of the picture, but not fast enought it seems, giddy with the excitment of being all photographer-like.
plus the bottle could be some social commentary on society and alcohol. havn't thought of any yet though. ideas anyone?
ps: the bottle is really just cream soda(we don't want a drunken model here) but i won't tell if you dont.

Here I am on the right of the frame showing some people how the swing lens works on my panoramic camera. I had it set for long exposures accidentally but this is much more interesting than the "normal" exposures using a light meter and trying to be proper.
Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.

NOTE: Kids, don't try this at home, or for that matter anywhere! Smoking is a mistake... and one not easily corrected! I know that. It is a mistake I make on the average of 30 times a day. The next time you say, "I'm dying for a cigarette", stop and think about what you've said. Smoking is the chicken shits way of commiting suicide.
It had potential at this point. I was just on the verge of messing it up. Dislike the curl one of the jowls took. His forhead was already bulging out rather then sloping in which was a major mistake
This image takes off on the iconic Shepard Fairey Obama poster and gives us a real picture of the Obama circa June 2010...a slick, steely-eyed corporate agent. The broken hopes and promises of progressive voters are listed off in the background. A pdf version is available here...
My best friend took this pic when she was in the crowd, and I just happen to have this weird expression on my face. I wish she hadn't take this pic.
Hunter pointed out that I had forgotten to cut out the numbered circles from my Settler's pieces. This is a quick fix to remedy that problem, although I need to update the artwork as well.
