To me, this is the best season to visit Provence….Unfortunately, I can’t go there this year…But, every night, when I lay down on my bed, I smell it thanks to the Lavender Pillow that I’ve got from one of the smallest villages in Provence…. To the memory of my lovely Provence, I initiated a new photo series: Missing Provence. The yoyo looks a bit scratched. First use (by me) was in #MacroMondays in November 30 2015 for the space inbetween.
Focus with the 60mm micro lens was about 2.5 cm. Closer than with our 105mm macro lens. This is a specially made small yoyo for zeros and ones specialists who attended a conference. That's where so many MacroMondays items originate. I've tried to purchase one in our new area, to no avail. Thanks for looking!

Cleopatra’s Island, also known as Sedir Adasi sits on the gulf of Gokava in the Marmaris peninsula. A popular destination steeped in urban legends of romance and passion, its name stems from a love affair between two of history’s most prolific people.
Called Kedreae in ancient times, present day myths refer to when the exotic queen of Egypt, Cleopatra spent time in the region. Although the natural landscapes and turquoise-blue sea captivated her, she was missing her homeland.
Sometimes leaving is the best act of love and care you can give. Otherwise staying would build up hate that will destroy the both of you.
I often find myself missing moments of beauty. This man on the beach was more captivated by his cell phone than the gorgeous setting sun in the distance. Another moment missed. I do like his pose though and how the sun was in perfect alignment for this composition.
