We easily exited the icy shoreline onto the still water and paddled to the centre of St. Lawrence River that was fully open with no ice. Safe to paddle as only slight wind and no snow that came down after we finished. Temperature +1 Celsius. Water moving to Cornwall Dam reason why not frozen in this region but further west where less water movement has iced fully.
