I've done this shot before in this location (link below). But I prefer this one because of the Infra Red effect and the shadows. And it's much closer. To be honest the other colour version was taken quickly during the first lockdown in Tasmania when I was getting some covert shots in the age of Covid. I was conscious of the fact that someone may well have been behind that double glazed mirror glass and an arrest might be imminent. This time I had no fears at all and was able to think more carefully about the composition.
Geometrically, this composition holds together much stronger than the other one. As the great Henri Cartier-Bresson once said of photography, "It's all about the geometry."
This is an artistically and technically very high-quality building of the polytechnic university of Catalonia. The round shape of the building and the reflection of the surroundings on the mirror glass make it a pleasure to look at. In 2019, after visiting the nearby FC Barcelona stadium, I took a walk in the Pedralbes area and saw this impressive building looming in the distance.

I love the reflections in New Plymouth's Len Lye Centre but only had my cellphone with me to have a bit of fun and capture a moment on my visit there recently.
Hong Kong Central as seen in the early evening. I took these as we crossed back over the harbour on the ferry.

A reflection of the Belgacom Towers located in Brussels. The buildings take their name from the leading telecommunications company. They are among the tallest skyscrapers in Belgium.

Belgacom Up Up Towers
A poem by Peter S. Quinn
Belgacom up up towers
Thru the open sky
Mirror glass empowers
To reach tomorrow’s high
Every hour in waking
Thru the life below
Telecommunications making
In their goals go
Yesteryears were different
Within other ways
Now it’s steel glass bent
With the sunshine days
Clear up on and going
Gathering futures revere
In all its glassy glowing
Thru its day and year
Dreams of fresh prospect
Giving more of hope
With innovative intellect
And holding to strong rope
Inside their days of living
More to offer to new
Together to future giving
Making dreams come true

Pulse of Brussels
A poem by Katie Gabrielle
The soul of Brussels
Reflections of a world
Mirror what we see
And what really is
Imagine what minds
Have passed through these
Steps and to the top
Gazing upon this city
Dreaming grand dreams
Hoping for a better world
And creating one
With each wave of the flag
The pulse of Brussels
Soars to the skies
Reflecting pride, spirit
and love
My attempt at being arty when I photographed the clouds that were mirrored in the City of London tower that was then known as the Commercial Union Building. Completed in 1969, its modernist international design was inspired by the work of Mies van der Rohe. The building survives today, now known simply as St. Helen’s.
At the time, I was trying to raise my photographic standards, having just purchased a lavishly-illustrated volume by John Hedgecoe, Professor of Photography at the Royal College of Art.

Mirror-glass building with angle. Pedestrians reflected in one plain, building across street in the other. Pic then rotated ninety degrees clockwise.
It was a real treat to wander along the waterfront in the sunshine - HK can be awesome even on miserable days, but when the sun's out it's superb.
An avant garde building when completed in 1975, Europa House on the corner of Anlaby Road and Ferensway was an early pioneer in the use of mirror glass for office buildings. But it now stands empty, its status in limbo. Current proposals involve remodelling it and calling it the Monocle.
We took the ferry to HK central and went up the peak. Unfortunately the Funicular Rail (Peak Tram) was closed so we had to bus up.
