A test roll from some film sent to me by the ever creative slimmer_jimmer, in advance of a little 'double exposure' experiment. I'm not sure what to make of it really. The light was brilliantly good on this particular evening down by the Harbourside in Bristol, but the film has scanned very, very grainily indeed. In some cases this adds mood, but especially once the sun started descending it just loses colour and adds er.....more grain! :)

The words appear to say 'Cerveau Sophis' - which in French literally translates to 'Sophisticated Brain'... I'm rather compelled by this piece, which has been left untagged for a long time now (at least the last year), and after several efforts I finally managed to frame the thing without cropping out bits of it.

I still don't know if it is an angel, a zombie, or ironic commentary on the youth of today. Whether it has wings, or is being followed, by a ghost, its own consciousness, imagination, possibilities or fears.

I do know that I love it, and not being able to understand exactly what it is about has not changed that.

In the end, it might be 'about' nothing whatsoever, and that's the possibility I love most of all.

NB: Lucky Doubles. All 24 images are now up. If you have any (further) views about which three I should submit for possible publication in the related Blurb book, I'd still love to see them. Thankyou again. :)
