Today, on 2nd Christmas Day, I don’t really know why, but this is the last album I have left to share from Michał Urbaniak after posting so many others from his Fusion, Group, and Constellation releases. Somehow, it feels fitting that this one comes now.
Knowing that Michał Urbaniak passed away on 20 December 2025, I imagine him celebrating Christmas in heaven with all those who were already there. My parents are surely rejoicing with them — together with Hermeto Pascoal, Ivan Conti, José Roberto Bertrami, Quincy Jones, James Brown, Miles Davis, David Sanborn, Nana Caymmi, and so many other beautiful souls and musical spirits.
So at this moment, I’m sharing the album Ecstasy by Michał Urbaniak — a record full of feeling, freedom, and deep musical expression. Sadly, there was never a Japanese vinyl release of this album; otherwise, I would absolutely be posting that version now.
Music connects worlds, memories, and generations. Today, this record feels like a quiet goodbye, a thank-you, and a celebration all at once. Wishing a peaceful and musical Christmas to all listeners and followers.
Rest easy, Michał. Your music continues to speak — here on earth and beyond. 🎶✨
