Well yesterday (January 15th, 2011) my wife and I picked up our Black Mini Cooper Countryman with Black/Anthracite wheels. We drove 220 miles from Dallas, Texas to Edmond Oklahoma to pick it up. Liking it a lot so far. Its pretty well equipped...Automatic Transmission, Heated Seats, Heated and Foldable Mirrors, Harmon-Kardon Sound system, Dual Sunroofs, Sport Suspension, Blue Tooth, just to name a few of the options.
I went out this morning and took a few photos. The weather was rainy, but I managed to get some decent shots anyway.

Latest 2022 Case A recolour of the Matchbox MINI Cooper Countryman which underneath all that dark glazing does actually have an interior. Whatever you feel about its one piece plastic upper half its one of those castings which always looks 100% stock with well chosen paint colours and full front and rear detailing. Mint and boxed.

Latest 2022 Case A recolour of the Matchbox 2011 MINI Cooper Countryman which does its best to impress thanks to a really deep glossy metallic blue finish and on point front and rear tampo detailing. Maisto were an early adopter of the one piece plastic upper body method now so beloved with the likes of Matchbox and increasingly Hot Wheels too. Its not a technique which has gone down well with collectors but as all the above brands are aimed at the pocket money toy market cost savings clearly need to be made.
The Maisto MINI Cooper Countryman is a notable example which they've been producing since 2019 and will no doubt still be around to buy new in 2029! The real vehicle is rather bulky and that is conveyed well here too, certainly more so than the Matchbox equivalent and whilst it lacks an interior of course it does enjoy full front and rear detailing.
