I have had and used a Garrett GTAx-550 for the past 7 years and had numerous good finds, I just upgraded to a Minelab Etrac this item was found in a spot that I had previously hunted hard with the Garrett, the GTAx- 550 is a great detector for the money and I am not disappointed that I bought it but the Etrac is 10x better in depth and target ID, If you can afford the Etrac (it is quite expensive) I highly recommend it. Bottom line is that I would have never found or dug up this item without the help of the Minelab Etrac. And just to let you know I do not work for Minelab Im just you average metal detecting hobbiest.

but only had 20 min of charge time but now I can remember the sound of a well drained battery pack on my first signal.
Surprised my hand pointer still works too.
Glad because while these are brand new ( in appearance ) but really not been used since my wife bought these for me and this wasn't a cheap model.
Out side metal detecting since its a nice day after a morning shower,
I got a hit on the Minelab and this Ladybug took its nooning on me.
I cant honestly say I never heard of Ladybugs that bit but what I felt was a small nip I just watched in amazement for eight minutes or so , long enough to get my camera out of the truck and she was still cutting away at the soft of my elbow . Very ambitious or hungry ,

In the last seven years, he has discovered 30 mines and some 230 UXO. This area is one of the most heavily mined in the world.

I’m not referring to the baby shark in the foreground. That’s a Port Jackson Shark of course and there are plenty of them around at the moment. Recent reports from divers at Port Noarlunga often cite up to 10 of these beautiful creatures either resting on the sand or nestled under ledges of the reef.
Lurking in the background, a silhouette of diver holds something that almost looks like a speargun. No need to be concerned for the fish or the sharks. That’s a Minelab Manticore metal detector.

But its a start I can say my Minelab works very well as long as I can learn all the settings like I did with my old Whites 4900D
Out again, what was it Feb 11, 2016 was the last time it was out.
I pretty much have done with weeks of overgrowth getting ready for spring plantings ,sled hammering a four hundred pound cement block from a failed antenna project DXing is
now a thing of my past so I am getting rid of the cement base
which now is on hold as the head of the sledge hammer flew off.
What to do now?
See if my Minelab still works .
The ground was HARD and I bent my digging tool. We need rain. I need to hit Galveston again for effortless digs in sand. Tried Baz's Minelab SE for the first time and loved it, but it's a bit heavy around 4 pounds. Arm goes tired quick after using the BH IV for so long. Pinpoint is dead on. I can swing the BH IV in one hand for several hours and using the SE for 20 minutes I had to go lefty. We need to attach Marty's hoverboard to the thing. Still debating buying an SE or Whites DFX.

4 Johnson Sandwich's - found two States in one plug.
1 bronze, 2 brass Lincoln Memorials - No Zincoln's this time. I discriminated those little bastards out this hunt. I want copper and not at 2.5%. It was success and saved me a shovel or 20. Hit the '59 Denver 2.4 feet WSW of 1st base on the field, 3-3.5 inches down.

Still searching for my first wheat and silver coin. Found first silver ring on 2nd hunt in Memorial Houston!
