"If you were around when this place was open, then you have lived" said the elderly cowboy as he pulled his pickup truck beside me while I took this photo. Taken in the early morning light in Nara Visa New Mexico.

Week 7 / 52 theme is "frozen". Oops! I threw them in the freezer & forgot about them AGAIN! You guessed it, frozen solid.

Was playing with some lights and an aquarium full of water last night. If you decide to do something like this, it's a lot of fun. Just be sure to have some music or something nearby as it can get a bit lonely in your garage dropping fruit into a bowl of water.

The last sequence of the night was a can of Miller Lite. Care to guess what happened after this image was done? You guessed it! Down the hatch :)

I made this into a one-shot HDR using two copies of the same image in post. The blue paint on the can looked great in the studio strobes. If you decide to do this, check out Clint's tutorial first and then give some thoughts to fun colors / shapes. Cans of pop / beer look nice.

I shot this for the Macro Mondays group theme of Frustrations: 14/03/2011.

There's nothing quite as frustrating as finding beer that has inexplicably gone out of date! It's especially frustrating when it's a beer that you particularly enjoy! I don't know how this happened, and I vow never to let it happen again! Anyway, I bet it still tastes alright!

I can't bring myself to throw it away, so I'll be sampling it at lunchtime! :)

Working on a national cancer research project. This is the usual volume of mail that comes in two-days time.

For Macro Monday - theme, 'seeing double'.

Figured out where my Millers have been disappearing to!

Here's a portrait I took of Corey Miller. It's one of my favorite unused outtakes from his feature in Mass Media Magazine. Hope you dig, and thanks for lookin'!

So the little lady and I were ready to go out to see the Tranny Show at a gay club in Itaewon this past Saturday, but old age set in and we decided to forgo the hour and a half train-ride for a five minute walk across the street. It's Miller Time!

One of our favorite holes in the wall around town, serving up some seriously awesome short ribs, tater tots, and fried chicken. Good eatin', son. This place gets crowded, so get there early like we did.

Here's an HDR of the interior using the new Canon 15mm Fisheye I picked up. I love the sweeping view it presents. Now, if only I had a full-frame sensor. This rebel's still got a lot of clicks left, so it'll be a while.

Thanks for checking it out!

Friday was my last day in this office, the blue-wall office.

On Tuesday, when I go back to work, all my stuff will be gone -- moved back to a new office in our old office building. The walls there are the color of cheap drywall primer, medicated powder, soap scum, government surplus powdered milk, lime scale... a thin, unpleasant residue where a color ought to be.

To me, this shot just begged for alternative treatment...............Cheers
