Here's a midday shot taken from the driveway of the rangers residence located just off of the main road leading into the park. The most unique feature of the park I noticed was the presence of various ‘chimneys’ of rock, known as sand pipes, which are thought to be solidified sediment that filled ancient springs, left standing after the softer surrounding Entrada sandstone rock weathered away. This formation is over 120'ft tall and is several million years old. :)
The original name of this park was Chimney Rock State Park, until 1962 when Kodak agree to allow the state to use it's name.

Humming birds have always fascinated me and one of my photography goals was to learn how to capture them. I am self-taught and it has been a long journey.
☼ These people in paper suits can stay for long minutes without moving, like statues. So when they start moving, many passersby are surprised and jump ... it's pretty funny. On an island in the sun, called Cayo Santa María, in the Jardines del Rey archipelago in the north center of Cuba.
☼ Ces gens en costume de papier peuvent rester durant de longues minutes sans bouger, comme des statues. Alors quand ils se mettent en mouvement, beaucoup de passants restent surpris et sursautent ... c’est assez drôle. Sur une île au soleil, appelée Cayo Santa María, dans l'archipel Jardines del Rey au centre nord de Cuba.
☼ Estas personas en trajes de papel pueden quedarse largos minutos sin moverse, como estatuas. Entonces, cuando empiezan a moverse, muchos transeúntes se sorprenden y saltan ... es muy divertido. En una isla al sol, llamada Cayo Santa María, en el archipiélago Jardines del Rey en el centro norte de Cuba.
Today I headed out to test my new Gorillapod. Apart from almost dropping it off the bridge, I really enjoyed using it.

Cloths wrapping the shrine and umbrellas designed in a checkerboard pattern symbolize the relationship between good and evil, which they believe must always be balanced.

I love this time of year for beach photography, as it is so much quieter. Conditions on this day at Bedruthan Steps were ideal.....low tide, very little wind, and good cloud cover, which enabled me to shoot directly into the sun for lots of contrast. Venturing out on the wet sand as the tide drops, is great for capturing reflections...CD's essential for tripod feet !!! The downside to this location is climbing back up those flippin steps with all the gear....they are brutal !!! Comments will be very much appreciated..... have a great day.
A lively midday scene from Linköping’s pedestrian street. The image captures a mix of modern and older buildings, each featuring characteristic awnings. Bright, reflective glass façades contrast with brick and concrete, while cyclists and pedestrians enjoy the autumn weather.
The best way to see a city is on two wheels and this street proved it. Loving the Scandinavian rhythm.
