For anyone wondering, I'm using Microsoft Excel to glitch my photos.

The label reads:

=if(Label="","RMA","?")

This is an Excel function. It also would work in Microsoft Access. The factory is using Excel or Access to store all the logos for the different jeans they make and then print them onto leather. This is what happens when there is a bug in their software.

It certainly feels weird to not post a "Photo of the Day" since the ending of my 365 project. It's weird that I don't have a daily challenge to find something to shoot. However, I am certainly enjoying the freedom and relaxation that comes after the project :). Now, I can start going at my own pace of taking photos. The 365 was definitely an accelerated photography course.

Please take a moment to read my blog. It recaps my 2010 year... You may find it interesting... haha.

_______________________________

Last year I haven't been very active with my "tags"... So sorry I'm a "year" late... But thank you to those who's tagged me. To start the year, lets get to know the "Jasmine Lee" you never knew before. Here we go!

1. I am a native born San Franciscan. I never loved my city until I started seeing the city through my lens. I appreciate my surroundings so much more than I did before.

2. I never liked San Francisco because the weather is always so COLD! But I have learned to suck it up if I want to capture its "cold" beauty.

3. I have an allergic reaction to the cold weather. Yup, you heard me. I break out in hives whenever my body gets cold. When I was younger, I'd break out in hives on my face, body, legs... Ew, it was a mess. But it's much better now... But I'm still breaking out when I'm cold.

4. Despite being a competitive gymnast for 13 years, I have never broken a bone. I did however, fracture my pinky toe in 2nd grade. When my teacher announced that it was "book time", I got up and RAN to get this "special" book before any other kid... But....I never made it to the book. Instead, I ran and tripped on a rolling bookshelf and fractured my toe.

5. I am a very fast walker. I get really annoyed and impatient walking behind people who walk at a normal pace. I pretty much walk as fast as I can... Is that normal?

6. I love to snowboard. I've been snowboarding since I was 11 years old. Before I was 11, I was a super fast skiier. I'm currently trying to perfect doing jumps and rails in the terrain parks when I go snowboarding. So far, I've cleared doing the box and jumps.

7. I'm really picky when it comes to eating snacks. I need to be in the MOOD to eat chips, cookies, crackers, chocolate, ice cream, dried fruit, etc... I'm usually in the mood when I'm super hungry for a meal... But any other time, you'll never see me eating these snack foods.

8. I have a sweet tooth. I'll eat anything gummy candy and CAKE! :D Yes, I LOVE eating cake. I should be a professional cake eater ;D haha just kidding :). Oh, my current favorite candy to eat are the Australian Licorice by Darrell Lea. Mmm... Omg, the green apple is SO good... I also like the strawberry flavor. You can buy them at Trader Joes! and World Market.... But the licorice at World Market was super hard :(

9. My favorite places to shop are Nordstrom, Express, Banana Republic, and Target. I use to be an avid bebe and Forever 21 shopper but not anymore...

10. I'm very OCD when it comes to making spreadsheets, especially in Microsoft Excel. I guess I'm known as one of the "Excel queens" at work... I love that program! Everything I make in it has to be perfect whether its formatting, formulas, presentation... you name it!

Thanks for reading if you've came this far. I had no idea I was going to write this much ;x. Took me a while to come up with all these random facts. Hope you enjoyed! And if I tag you, you can do this 10 random facts if you choose to :)... bye byeeee for now.

Company phone it seems... chaining me to my Outlook email. At least I'm allowed to make personal calls! And, maybe even flickr from the phone :)

First impressions in the box are good. It looks quite ok despite having a large ugly keyboard. It is definitely a Motorola. It comes with a charging dock with a spare charging slot for a second battery. Is that a hint to it's short standby time, so typical of WM devices? Still, it reminded me of my first mobile phone, a Motorola MicroTAC I-888 that we got for $1 from Crazy John, who sadly passed away yesterday.

I turn it on to be greeted by Windows Mobile 6, and it's all downhill from there!

Then I read Gizmodo's mini Moto Q9m review...

I just got my hands on the first Moto Q9m, and after a couple of hours, I'm ready to send it right back. Seriously, if you buy this phone, you are dumb.

... and I agree. Windows Mobile 6 Smartphone Edition sucks! At least I get a 512MB microSD with it. Full specs below.

I spent a lot of time researching the value of these paintings.

The "A. Burri 67" paintings could possibly be by the famous Burri, see comparison of signature, below. My friend's dad also went to school in Perugia, Italy but was a few years younger. Her dad went to Rome many times and could have visited Burri's studio.

Probably my favourite of my three Lego mosaics, completed in October 2014, this mosaic uses twelve colours and was planned out in Microsoft Excel, again by eye and hand. I had a lot of trouble with the face plate, using a lot of trial and error to balance bright yellow, sand yellow, brick yellow, brown, new dark red, bright orange, white, and fl. yell-ora, That entire section of the mosaic was taken apart and rebuilt at least three times,

Ancient version of Windows, from the Middle Age / Antigua versión de Windows, de la Edad Media.

ENGLISH

Microsoft Windows is the name of several families of software operating systems by Microsoft. Microsoft first introduced an operating environment named Windows in November 1985 as an add-on to MS-DOS in response to the growing interest in graphical user interfaces (GUIs). Microsoft Windows eventually came to dominate the world's personal computer market, overtaking Mac OS, which had been introduced previously. At the 2004 IDC Directions conference, IDC Vice President Avneesh Saxena stated that Windows had approximately 90% of the client operating system market.[2] The most recent client version of Windows is Windows Vista. The current server version of Windows is Windows Server 2003. The successor to Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, has been released to manufacturing, but is not yet generally available.

Microsoft has taken two parallel routes in its operating systems. One route has been for the home user and the other has been for the professional IT user. The dual routes have generally led to home versions having greater multimedia support and less functionality in networking and security, and professional versions having inferior multimedia support and better networking and security.

The first version of Microsoft Windows, version 1.0, released in November 1985, lacked a degree of functionality and achieved little popularity, and was to compete with Apple's own operating system. Windows 1.0 is not a complete operating system; rather, it extends MS-DOS. Microsoft Windows version 2.0 was released in November, 1987 and was slightly more popular than its predecessor. Windows 2.03 (release date January 1988) had changed the OS from tiled windows to overlapping windows. The result of this change led to Apple Computer filing a suit against Microsoft alleging infringement on Apple's copyrights.

A Windows for Workgroups 3.11 desktop.Microsoft Windows version 3.0, released in 1990, was the first Microsoft Windows version to achieve broad commercial success, selling 2 million copies in the first six months. It featured improvements to the user interface and to multitasking capabilities. It received a facelift in Windows 3.1, made generally available on March 1, 1992. Windows 3.1 support ended on December 31, 2001.

CASTELLANO

Microsoft Excel 2010 Remove Duplicates icon

I often need large pictures of Microsoft Excel icons to use in my teaching and couldn't find them anywhere, so I created my own. A bit rough but hopefully it is useful to you as well.

I get this now and again when working with big spreadsheets like our product catalogues. I thought I was just seeing this message because we've been given an old version of Excel (2000) to work with, but users of Excel 2002 and Excel 2003 also get these error messages.

Microsoft's solution to the problem is to stop working with big files. I'm sure that'll go down well at work: "Sorry I sure would like to do that vlookup on the catalogue for you, but Microsoft says I shouldn't work with big files..."

amcmillan.livejournal.com/133631.html

I'm in the habit of using long file and folder names. Particularly when I'm dealing with multiple revisions of files. So now and again I get error messages like this, that tell me a file X "... could not be found. Check the spelling of the file name, and verify that the file location is correct."

Which is great except that the two things the message is telling me to check are absolutely fine; there is nothing wrong with the file name spelling and the file location is correct. The problem is that the file name and/or folder names are too long, which the error messagebox doesn't mention.

amcmillan.livejournal.com/133631.html

Because some people asked for it on Twitter, here is a quick chart showing the Crew's average attendance patterns for this year vs. their history. The gray series indicates average attendances for game #N over the team's 16-year history, while the yellow series graphs that game's attendance for this year, 2011.

As you can see, Game 5 has been problematic both this year (7.148) and over time (12,476).

One interesting reading of this chart is that, while the Crew's attendances have certainly been disappointing this season, the game-over-game patterns have - generally - followed the patterns set in previous years. The toughest games, attendance-wise, are not the first games, but those next few after the opening rush is over. As the summer has moved on, attendances have typically risen - peaking around a dozen games into the season.

The last game of the season has done very well, but it should be noted that Game 16 has not always been played due to the length of the season (the last year was 2006). As such, the reported average for that game is artificially inflated. Which is a good thing, as the capacity of Crew Stadium is below what the average for that game at this point.

The chart was produced by Microsoft Excel, with no post-processing. If this sort of thing proves interesting, I may revisit it.
