I accidentally set the fuse on this one to use an external clock source rather than an external crystal oscillator. It stopped talking. I took it off and replaed it, but then found out that I could have jerry rigged a clock soure to XTAL1 from the STK500 development board and got it back. Good to know.

I'm using three laptops to debug the microcontroller firmware for the

TexSun's Battery Management System. The left (crappy) computer runs the

logic analyzer to monitor the serial bus communication. The middle (old)

laptop was debugging the slave code, while the right (nice, new) computer

was working on the master code. The BPS is a multi microcontroller system,

and the communications are difficult to debug when only looking at one part

of the system at a time.

The cornerstone of our manufacturing is this pick and place. Our pick and place machine places components on circuit boards. This machine can build products faster than we can package and test it!

the one on the left is USB powered and has an USB Bootloader.

The purpose of this machine is to inspire our staff to create interesting prototypes from acrylic, Delrin, or anything else we can easily cut in this 75W laser. The laser engraver can cut and etch a variety of materials with consistency and faster productivity. Because it works like a printer and doesn’t require any CAM tools to make tool paths, anybody with a drawing and a dream can use this tool!

A JM-552 SBC by J&M Micro. Based on a Phillips 80C552 microcontroller (an 8051 on steroids). Supports a 2x40-character LCD display.

This one flashes TWO LEDs (alternating) and uses an external crystal for the clock. I don't have the programming cable attached in this picture.

The Arduino is a microcontroller popular with artists, hobbyists, engineers and tinkerers of all sorts. The "Arduino Workshop" is an opportunity to learn a bit about the microcontroller, how to program it and how to prototype basic circuits.
