Did you see the spider note in my last photo?

There really was a spider there, and here he is! He floated out of the sky on a piece of silk and landed right there in front of me. He was so tiny that I put a small instant oatmeal flake on the table next to him for scale.

The Tube was an expansion interface and architecture on the BBC Micro which allowed the BBC Micro to communicate with a second processor, or coprocessor such as a second 6502 processor. Using the Tube interface turned the 8 bit micro into 32 bit machines. Under the architecture the coprocessor would run user code, whilst the Micro (acting as a host) provided certain I/O functions such as screen and storage device management. A coprocessor unit could be cold-plugged into any BBC Micro with a disk interface (whose ROM contained the necessary host code) and used immediately.

The 1 MHz bus expansion connector enabled other hardware to be connected.

The User port 8-bit general purpose digital I/O port.

The printer connected to a parallel printer, usually a dot-matrix printer and the disc drive speaks for itself.

Skylinepath.tumblr.com is my new micro blog. For all the small stuff I don't want on my Blogger. :]

I haven't used my micro lens for awhile. Not sure what's the name of the flowers or weeds.

I haven't been getting outdoors as much as usual so my wife talked me into a nice evening walk. Ever since I have gotten into photography I have slowly started to notice light more. This being my first real fall with a camera and some idea of how to use it I am realizing how beautiful the light is this time of year. Our evening walk was no exception. This was shot with a canon 100L and i think it shows how well the IS works. I was definitely breaking the rules by shooting a 100 at 1/50s handheld but I think it worked out fine. For PP I used just a touch of split toning, adding yellow to the highlights and blue to the shadows. Thanks for having a look!

Today marks the return of Microfiction Monday at Shea Magazine. Every Monday, we’ll be doing a series of collaborative competitions where an artist provides us with a photograph or a painting (or something else) and we will attach a short story of 250 words or less.

We ask you to do the same and give us your best story of 250 words or less which you can leave in the COMMENTS section on our web page. We’ll choose the winning submission which will be published as a separate piece on Friday.

So let this cabin in the woods be your inspiration. Join us on our web page to contribute to the fiction or even submit a work of art to act as inpiration
