how cute is my Mickey Mouse Waffle Iron!!!
I love these waffles because they're a bit chewy and doughy! Dust with powered sugar and top with fresh fruit and breakfast is served!!
Ingredients:
1 cup water
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, beaten
Directions
1. In a bowl, mix together water, sour cream, yogurt, lemon juice and vanilla.
2. Sift flour into a separate, large bowl; stir in baking powder, baking soda and salt.
3. Add sour cream mixture and eggs to flour mixture; blend until smooth.
4. Cook on a lightly greased waffle iron until golden brown; lift off with a fork.
Makes 5 Mickey Mouse waffles!

Well here ya go, Mickey, Nurse Nun & The Blue Tube.
For the most part everything went as planned at
The Monkey Temple. Except for Miss Gibbon
who was carrying her moody bag and
attacked the mini blue tube !
As it was slid into her cage full of puppy kibble
she attacked the tube & bit it, causing her
breakfast to scatter all over the place.
Tube ended up on the floor of
her cage. Using my cane
it was fished out.
All the temple dogs were fed and cared for.
Same with Mr Pig, Mr Ed and the Guppies.
After my bath in the dog water bucket
I was burned out and headed for home.

Today's second post is naturally a Fireworks Friday picture, this one is from Big Thunder Mountain. This is the first time I've successfully captured the Mickey burst in the show, all of my previous attempts have been uneven or blown out. That's really the only reason I'm posting this, since everything else about the shot didn't want to work right. I had no idea how dark it is over here after the show, I had to remove the ND, and crank up the ISO to unpleasant levels to even get a 30 second shot to work. Thankfully Fantasmic! has some bright spotlights and I was able to time it right and take advantage of the extra light but I certainly realize I need an external flash next time.
As for the shot, this is a 2 shot HDR, masked in CS5, and some Nik software.

Mickey was a stray, who just turned up on someone's doorstep at 3.00am. The people who found him were unable to keep him, so they brought him to the rescue centre and, not surprisingly, he's already been reserved. He's thought to be about 4 or 5 months old and no-one's claimed him, which I find incredible.
The description on Mickey's card just says "Very friendly, doesn't stop purring, loves cuddles." All massive understatements, believe me! I walked in and sat on the chair in his unit. He leapt onto my lap, climbed up my chest and snuggled himself under my chin, purring VERY loudly all the time. A silky soft, beautifully warm, musical neck warmer. Who could ask for more? Heaven! :))

About the same time Rocky explodes
and races down the steps chasing the
funny monkeys in all directions available.
Mickey gave Rocky a big kiss on his nose.

These are all baby monkeys with small
baby monkey brains, no threat at all...;-)
Life goes on in our strange little microcosm
out here in an even stranger jungle setting.

Abandoned Abused Street Dogs.
Scooter was packed with extra stuff
when I left for The Monkey Temple.
Just seconds before 5AM the wick
was twisted and off I go into pitch
black cool morning air, I'm Happy.;-)
Soon I Wasn't Happy ! As the trucks
and cars went blowing past they
were kicking up dry sand an gravel.
----- I was getting sandblasted ! -----
This cost me an extra 30 minutes in
travel time due to having to stop an
wash my eyes out repeatedly, grrr !
But, the good part is when I did arrive
Mama and Rocky greeted me with
open paws, toe and ear licking 2.....;-)
Scooter is unpacked then everything
is carried up the first set of stairs
then into The Bingo Room.
Feed bags are prepared
and off we go into
the jungle ..;-)
Oops, Forgot to mention Mr Leg Man
and his sidekick Molly were also at
The Dog Palace when I arrived, so
a small bag of kibble was handed
off to him especially for Molly.
She is a real sweet dog
covered with many
deep scars !
A welcome addition to Mr Leg Mans
life of solitude on the 2nd floor at
The Dog Palace. They go good
together, 2 kind souls .......;-)
The tide was in so The Concrete Walking Bridge
had one portion underwater you've seen it before.
Anyway Mama does a short jump while Rocky does
one of his famous flying jumps. ..Think he was kinda
just showing off for me, but I must admit he's still got it.
Mickey soon landed on my feet and he too went for my toes.
Some personal items were given to The Nuns.
The Zoomer joined in and the five of us left for
The Spirit House for our usual hot-dogs an kibble.
Something I had to do was checkout the cave.
Of course the puppies wern't there but I still
had to look.Didn't go in very far at all but
I could see back to where I had been
when trying to save the puppies.
Real spooky place to be !
And I'm not claustrophobic either.
But I do know what lurks in there.
It's funny watching Mickey doing his best to
mimic the big dogs.They plow right over him
and he just jumps right back up an continues.
He goes right after the monkeys just like them.
Tough little guy. .Good thing he has big dogs all
around him for needed protection from primates.
In due time The Hooligans were cared for.
Angel Eyes and Mr DJ are back together
as two love birds again. Or until some-
thing else changes their relationship.
Mama, Mickey and Rocky were all
brushed, then I split for home.

Disney characters are nearly always fun and cute. This picture is of Mickey Mouse water bottles at a grocery store
Clubhouse made from rice krispie treats and modeling chocolate & fondant. Figurines were purchased separately. Even though it was work, this was a fun cake to make .

Today was another run out to The Monkey Temple.
Even though I was there yesterday I had completely
forgot about Baby Mickeys rabies shot due on the 4th.
So, after the dog clinic had opened I showed up.
Purchased the proper medication packed in
ice and took off for The Monkey Temple.
Now, I'm halfway there and still in the middle
of no-where when the front tire blew-out !
When the front tire of a scooter blows
it creates one hell of a wild ride !
This puts me in a very precarious situation with
medicine packed in ice in 40 +C temperature
and no help in sight with traffic rushing by.
Idling along in first gear with my feet dangling
just enough to touch the ground I pressed on.
About 20 minutes later I spot a fire station
maybe 1500 meters ahead.Like an oasis
in the dessert, I've been saved..........;-)
Now here comes the really cool part of this story.
In front of the fire station is a man painting an
object with a spray-gun attached to a compressor.
Problem being you must have the proper attachment
for the compressor in order to pump the tire up with air.
No body spoke any English so hand gestures were used.
Didn't take long and they understood I was heading for
The Monkey Temple and had medicine on-board 4
the temple dogs. Next thing I know a fire-station
pickup pulls in and the scooter is loaded
into the back along with me and one
more fireman. Off we go flying
down the road towards
the Chanthaburi ---
Rayong border.
We pull into a motorcycle shop alongside the road.
Bike is removed and tire is quickly repaired......The
inner-tube had just split in two pieces 4 no reason.
Once they found out I was heading to The Monkey
Temple with medicine they refused any payment !
That my friends, is what you call true Buddhism ;-)
Tomorrow Mr Boney Baloney goes in to
have his stitches removed.So far so good.
It's through your heartfelt donations that helps
these jungle dogs live a much better quality life.

Mickey Mouse is designed and built completely with factory Lego parts. The model stands 20cm tall and contains 33 points of articulation, including ball jointed ears and individually moveable fingers. Also included are the "Kingdom Key" Keyblade from Kingdom Hearts and the paintbrush from Epic Mickey.
Just walking by Mickey Mouse and been able to get a pose is really a dream come true. with the amount of kids flocking around i was about to leave when it just happened. :)
