Amazingly, World Beyond War got approval from Metro to display a "PEACE ON EARTH" sign* at Metro Center during the holiday season. Amazing because every year war profiteers Lockheed Martin, Boeing etc. aggressively spend big bucks promoting weapons and war at various Metro stations, especially those close to the Pentagon and Capitol Hill. Some of us gathered with David Swanson and his two sons for a group picture and to celebrate this small but important expression of our longing for world peace.

*Many of the many electronic ad signs in Metro cycle through multiple messages so be patient.

"Through December 26, the Metro Center subway station in Washington, D.C., says "PEACE ON EARTH" and we want your photos of you and the signs. Just email them when you can.

The best time to make such photos will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 4th. Please wear World BEYOND War gear if you have it and join us there at that time for a group photo.
