There are a few reasons as why this happens, and here they are in the order of their occurrence:
You are trying to use it on a live account, without having that account number enabled for that EA version
You are trying to use it on a live account, while having that account number enabled for that EA version
You are trying to use it during weekends, and since your broker’s servers have been turned off the EA cannot verify whether or not your account is live or demo
You are using it on a demo account (and normally it should work), but your broker set your demo account as live instead of demo
And here are the solutions:
Buy the expert advisor that you’d like to use on your live accounts or, if you already had, requests a license change/update
Before attaching the EA to your live chart, enter your email in its ClientEmail input; this is most likely the same with the email address you provided when you made the payment
Find a broker that keeps their servers opened 24/7 or just don’t use the EA during weekends
Ask your broker to setup your account properly (as demo) or simply find a more reliable broker

Every once in a while we must answer some kind of idiotic comments on Youtube (or other social sites) from wanna be forex traders, and usual they start like this:
“this will never work”
“you will lose all your money if you do this”
“hedging is a bad idea” etc etc etc
Without any support in their saying, they believe they are right. And, of course, without even watching the entire video or reading the full article.
Today we decided that - instead of losing time answering these comments - we’d better just delete them. We like constructive criticism and we do like suggestions, we just don’t like stupid people with ideas that they need to share. “Stupid” here defines the kind of people described in the paragraph above.
So, don’t feel offended if your comment wasn’t approved and you never heard from us (or anyone else), it’s just because we don’t have time to explain to you what has already been explained in the video that you were trying to comment on. And this also includes requests to see our trading history (as if we are all trading on one account, using one style and/or one trading tool).

Just in case you missed our email, please be advised that - if you didn’t send us your account numbers so far - you are probably running a time limited version of our software. When this will expire, your EA will stop to function and will close your MT4 (if attached to a live chart).
If this happens, please understand that it is not our responsibility if your account will win/lose money due to your outdated RobotFX EA behaviour. According to our emailing service, the warning email we sent has been received by all our clients (see the picture).
What to do next?
Again, send us your account numbers so we can personalize your RobotFX expert advisor. According to our new TOS, there are no longer time limits, only account numbers restrictions. If you are an old client (prior to 2017), you can attach five (5) account numbers (regardless of the broker) to any EA acquired. For the new clients, the limit is three.
This doesn’t change our agreement and engagement towards our customers. You are still entitled to use our software per life, without any further charges or limitations. Except, of course, for the following two:
- the account numbers restriction (this will help to prevent our software being distributed to third parties)
- a one time per month (paid) limit to change your account numbers (also intended to stop illegal distribution/use of our products)
It should be also reminded that the future releases/updates of our EAs must be requested by the clients. In other words, you (the client) have the obligation to check for new releases. Each new version will be announced on this blog, so all you have to do is to take a peak once in a while. And don’t worry, we’re not writing too much, so the new versions announcements will be visible or easy to find.
