Through out Thailand there is a lot of this ornate metal work, on temples, on government buildings, in my hotel, I find it all beautiful and a reminder how a little art can be injected into anything, anywhere.

A style that you don't see in modern architecture yet was responsible for building much of the infrastructure of America

The combination of steel, a plasma cutter and an active, creative imagination resulted in this lovely gate dividing our dogs from the real world of our front yard and street.

 

The wooden gate, steel windows, steel vine, handles, brackets, etc. were all made by hand.

The chasse-St-Taurin, a little detail. Enamel plaques are laid into it and you can see the fleur-de-lis of the royal house of France; elsewhere on the chasse, you can see a tiny statue of Saint (King) Louis holding the crown of thorns.
