DESCRIPTION: We have very cloudy weather in CZ during December. I had only approx 20 minutes to catch a photo of Great Conjunction between the clouds in December 22, around 17 PM. The photo is not so impressive, but I am happy to had small change to captured it. Jupiter is in the center together with his four moons, Saturn is close right. His egg shape is caused by his ring. There is no more details because low elevation (approx 13 degree) above horizon and strong wind...
This conjunction was visible in year 7 BC and very probably was perceived like sing of coming the Messiah.... Conjunction will be visible around this year Christmas above south / west horizon after sunset. DO NOT MISS IT. To watch Star of Bethlehem around Christmas is possible only one in hundreds of years.

Translating the verse as "Lord's anointed" is actually an interpretation- the literal meaning is Messiah (in Hebrew Mashiach - משיח).
I made an amazing discovery yesterday which took me quite by surprise! Just a few yards from my office, in the Chapter House of Chester Cathedral, UK, I found this in a dark corner, under glass.
It's a facsimile of the original autograph score of G F Handel’s ‘Messiah’ (I‘m a bit of a GFH ‘junkie’!). The well-documented story is that on the way to the first ever performance of Messiah, in Dublin, Handel was delayed in Chester whilst waiting for his ship to set sail from the nearby port of Parkgate on the River Dee estuary.
So, he took the time to carry out some further work on the score, and this is a copy of that same score, in his own hand!
The words ‘Hallelujah’ from the famous chorus are seen here. Perhaps, in Chester, he was changing the words to ‘Ha-lle-lu-jah’ from, perhaps, ‘A-pple Crum-ble’, or ‘I love Cold-play’, or ‘Bi-lly Re-ed’! ;^)

Red Messiah is a disused 18th Century church, tucked away in a secluded mountainous area of Austria. The interior has a very striking Gothic style, with beautifully carved dark wooden pews strewn with cobwebs and years of dust.
I keep so busy making amateur anybody-can-participate music and art that I seldom find time to consume great art done by highly trained people. This evening friends arm-twisted me into going to hear Handel's Messiah at Emory University. As soon as I saw the splendid organ, my fingers itched for the sketchbook in my purse. Sometimes you can both appreciate art and make art at the same time.
The chorus and orchestra were wider than what is shown here, but I ran out of both paper and patience. This was Messiah as orchestrated by Mozart for more instruments than were used during Handel's lifetime. (So we learned from the program notes.)
A little ironic that the instrument that dominates my sketch is the one instrument in the hall that wasn't used during the performance.

Hi all, Chubbybots back here with my own custom Mark 6 Jaeger Emerald Messiah inspired by the movie Pacific Rim Uprising.
Her primary weapons are the 2 sonic cannons on her shoulders. It produces a sonic weapon that only affects Kaiju tissue rendering them paralyze.
Her secondary weapon includes the twin claws on her forearms reminiscent of Striker Eureka.
Her third weapon is inspired something gundam inspired haha :D I believe many will know that reference :D

I found a bit of barbed wire a while back and took it home as a prop and decided tonight to use it. I'm not religious nor do I think I am Jesus but I do like the power of religious imagery.
2 x yongnuo 560iv's, one through a socked beauty dish and the other heavily snooted. Led lenser P7.2 on light stand for beam of light. Shutter dragged a little to burn it in.
