Around 1000 people packed Manchester Cathedral on Monday 9 December 2024 for Greater Manchester Police’s annual Christmas Concert.
The event, attended by members of the force, the public and a host VIPs, saw the Greater Manchester Police Band and singers play a range of carols and other festive music.
The event was opened by the Dean of Manchester, the Very Reverend Rodgers Govender MBE and closed with a Christmas message from Chief Constable Stephen Watson QPM.

Project Objectives: Students will learn about change-makers in Massachusetts and leadership skills through observing public murals and developing their own positive messages and other messages revolving around social justice themes.
Summary: Students discussed change-makers in Massachusetts and leadership skills like honestly, commitment, and even creativity. A guest artist named Alex Cook visited the students. Alex discussed and showed the students his own personal murals that he created. The students saw walls and public spaces that were transformed using positive messages and simple words like love and peace. Using mixed mediums, like tempera, markers, and collage techniques, students set-out to create posters of their own depicting positive messages for their own community and peers at JFK.
