Young ladies sending a message home...

The plan was set. I had hostages, one was a glorified Gotham business man and the other was his wife. I wasn't planning on killing them, they weren't on my list, but I needed a bait for Uriel and Azreal. Then I needed a place to spring the trap, I chose Sionis's old mill, it had many cooling towers I could snipe off. The final part of the plan was to get their attention. I couldn't take over the TV channels, Zod already did that, it had to be something small, like a message, a message in a bottle.

It was early in the morning, all the cops were just starting duty. I was on the opposite building, with my grenade launcher loaded with a message, aiming it right at the window on the top floor, hopefully getting Gordon's attention. I fired it, smashing the once full window to shards of glass, just missing the bars on the window. The cops all stood back in horror thinking it was a bomb. Once they finally realised it wasn't, one detective, I believe his name was Arlington, opened the case and read the note. The note inside I wrote said "I have two hostages at Sionis Steel Mill on the top floor, if you want them alive you must obey my request. No police what so ever, only Azreal and his boy wonder Uriel are aloud on the scene. If you do not listen, the hostages will die, you have 12 hours. DS."

Hope you like it :D

I doubt this message could be any more clear than what is already written on the sign. I didn't check to see what was written on the front of the guy's red cap.

These folks were also standing on the grass at Grand Park to listen to the speakers and singers.

While baby-sitting for a friend today, I closed her blinds to shut out the morning sun that was absolutely pouring through the window and heating the house up quite considerably. Jut as I turned to walk away I happened to look down and this is what I was greeted with - a result of the sun shining through the gaps in the blinds. I couldn't have got this more perfect if I'd staged the whole thing!!!!!

The styling of the Deltics always appealed to me - and the distinctive sound they made, their soft tones uniquely carrying with the wind for miles.

In this winter's view D9016 Gordon Highlander is departing Leeds Central past the signal box in 1965 with a West Riding express for King's Cross. Unusually, the roller blind had failed and was, wrongly, displaying the code for a Newcastle express so oil lamps were displayed over each buffer, the old steam code for an Express Passenger. (This was actually 1E10, the 12.14pm Leeds Central-KX).

After listening to "A Message" by Coldplay a hundred times in the last few days I decided to take this photo.

As well as I think it turned out, it does not do justice to the song.

my song is love

love to the loveless shown

and it goes up

you don't have to be alone

your heavy heart

is made of stone

and it's so hard to see you clearly

you don't have to be on your own

you don't have to be on your own

and i'm not gonna take it back

and i'm not gonna say i don't mean that

you're the target that i'm aiming at

and i get that message home

my song is love

my song is love unknown

and i'm on fire for you clearly

you don't have to be alone

you don't have to be on your own

and i'm not gonna take it back

and i'm not gonna say i don't mean that

you're the target that i'm aiming at

and i'm nothing on my own

got to get that message home

and i'm not gonna stand and wait

not gonna leave it until it's much too late

on a platform i'm gonna stand and say

that i'm nothing on my own

and i love you, please come home

my song is love, is love unknown

and i've got to get that message home

I'm always intrigued as to how people can walk, read and text at the same time - me, I'd probably fall over. Bacolod City, Philippines.

El siempre interesante Google Translator impuso su lógica implacable: "Mensajes a nadie", le dije. "Messages to anyone", respondió firme.

Most people take notes and write messages on their phone, tablet or computer these days. So coming across two people, sitting next to each other, creating messages by moving a stick across a piece of paper, was too much of a temptation.

I have no clue what the message is.

It's not so much the things you say. It's the unspoken messages I feel.
