Estrella Benavides paints a message on her Belmont house Friday. The message violates the city’s sign ordinance. Benavides is facing a lawsuit by the city of San Mateo for similar sign code violations at her house in that city.
The third rave of the "dog murder" graffiti writer. This person is mad at the municipality for killing his dog.
This one is The Hague Central Station.
I found more graffiti of the “killed dog” ranter at The Hague Central Station. It looks quite old. I’m afraid I won’t find any more of his creations and neither will I discover what happened to the poor dog.

Shot in response to the Week 1 prompt in the PDF version of Vivienne McMaster's e-course Wading In: Dipping Our Toes Into Self-Portraiture, which I received when I registered for this fall's session of You Are Your Own Muse.
Given that I'm over a month into a 365 Project and am taking self-portrait courses, I think it's safe to say I am following one "intense [obsession] mercilessly." This quote is always a good one when it gets tempting to leave authenticity for security or safety or approval, or when it gets tempting to give up on dreams, and these have been temptations lately.
The graffiti picture in behind Dan should look familiar to you. I took this picture of Dan in the studio the other day and just used the quick selection tool on him to cut him out of the original studio photo. I then pasted him onto this picture of the graffiti at the London Music Hall and thought it looked pretty dope. I've never done anything like this so let me know what you think
People write messages of good luck to themselves or their friends. I think it is a really cute idea. I cannot show mine I'm afraid (too depressing.)
BeiHai park in my opinion is the beautiful place to visit in Beijing. It has a far nicer atmosphere than the relatively oppressive Forbidden City and closes much later so visitors are not shouted "you must leave" through a megaphone at 4:30pm as is the case with the Forbidden City. As was the case last year, this was my best day photographically, there is something about this park that I really like and I got some of my best of shots of the whole holiday in both years.

A new kind of crafty graffiti - a beaded message taped to a electricity box in Jomfru Ane Gade in Ålborg.
I imagine a crafty couple and a tryst at exactly that time at the usual place....
This was taken on the North side of Cleveland's Veteran's Memorial Bridge on my walk home from the 9/11 ceremonies. Very sad that he felt so compelled to reach out and share his desperation. I can only hope he is in a better place now.
The world without advertising.
Would you believe that your brain is flooded with around three thousand marketing messages per day? Everyday an estimated twelve billion adverts are displayed on our televisions with another three million radio commercials reaching our ears on a daily basis? But in September 2006, the mayor of Sao Paulo declared all advertising in his city a ‘visual pollution’, banning it all leaving pure white billboards and metal frames as replacement to the persuasive messages and lustful images. From this, I began to think, what would our scenery be like without advertising. What would our world be like without advertising subconsciously placed everywhere around us? Therefore these photographs are just an insight into London city without advertising. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to drive a negative or positive opinion on the multi-billion pound industry (my whole family is in advertising after all), just open your mind to the mass amount of advertising that sways your thoughts on the products that you buy everyday. Think about how many advertising logos, slogans or images that you can remember off the top of your head?

As seen in the background of this shot of Sarah and Tanya, the blackboard in the Band Room contains a number of mysterious notes and messages. At the top, the names of the members of the trumpet section in chair order, although the Sousa Award plaque is covering up the names of Joe and Steve, the first and second chairs respectively. I'm not sure what the sequence of numbers 3, 1-5 (circled), 4 and 2 represent, unless this is something left over from the Try-Out results. And then there is the odd drawing of what is believe is supposed to be Mr. Spock with the tagline "He lives!," an obvious reference to "Star Trek III: The Search for Spock." This is what happened when Mr. Stephens went away for a couple of days.
Another birthday has come and gone. As you look back on your past year remember all of the success you’ve had, all the good and bad times that have made you stronger and wiser and hopefully a little more patient. Take a minute (out of a very busy schedule) and think of the things you’d like to accomplish this year... and remember to take the time for not only work but for family and friends (as they are the ones that help shape you) I hope 26 is a great year.... I wish you nothing but the best. Happy Birthday Gordie Tam... xoxox
