Just wanted to wish a Merry Christmas to all my friends and followers.
Here is CMQ job #1 crossing Lac d'Argent in Eastman on its way west towards Farnham on the Sherbrooke Sub.
A Merry Christmas to all Flickrites, followers and friends, lend my your favs (sorry wrong speech). It's been a turbulent year for Flickr, as well as the country in general, but let's draw a line under it all and look forward to 2020.
Looking back through my stream, I haven't posted as much this year as I've done in previous years but the one great constant has been the support, humour and friendship whenever I have. So let me take this opportunity you thank you all for your continuing support and wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
Apologies for this not being a festive image as I've not got a single snowflake shot in my back catalogue but it's probably the last photo outing of this year.

Wishing everyone here on Flickr a Merry Christmas and best wishes for the New Year. Let’s put 2020 firmly behind us and hope that 2021 brings a rapid end to this pandemic and all the mayhem it’s caused.

This previously unpublished shot from December 2016 captures Leo Mushet, the Glasgow Raver, doing what he loved the most. Dancing along with street performers in the city.
I just discovered that he has been unable to dance on the streets since the pandemic began as his care home has prevented him from leaving. Leo has a brain injury and he was allowed to come and go as he pleased prior to the pandemic, I can barely imagine how hard it must be for him. He is a kind soul that raised a lot of money for good causes when he could.**
Sadly there are a great many people who have had Christmas ruined by the ongoing pandemic. Tens of millions of loved ones lost, hundreds of millions damaged by Long Covid, many millions of vulnerable people unable to live freely after all health protections were removed and many millions being miserably ill time and time again.
Amongst all of this misery it can be difficult to find joy for a festive season full of holidays of all kinds but it is vital that we do try to find joy where and when we can. While I think of those who are suffering and come to terms with my first Christmas since my mum passed away, I will also take time to enjoy the warmth and love that Christmas brings from those that matter most.
Wherever you are and however you celebrate during the dark winter months. My thoughts are with you and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

**addendum I have since discovered that Leo has been able to get out on the street and dance this year, according to his Facebook page and not the local news article that I read which turns out was misleading. My apologies.
Just another Santa from my collection....I have a grandson who has always loved polar bears, so this one has a special place in my heart. Thanks, Tyler!
