Took this image last year as I walked one of my fav streets in Toronto: Wellington Street which leads you right into the heart of the Toronto Financial District where I work. Here two ladies stand outside what is a string of very nice restaurants and bars....I have frequented Pravda which is a few doors down...its interior is all decked up with Soviet era imagery, art depicting Lenin and Stalin as well as the Hammer & sickle Soviet era flags. ...lots of red allover....the martinis are very nice.

There is a wonderful fish foot SPA in Helsinki which I treated my granddaughter and myself to.
We were hosted by the lovely Meri and welcomed by her two beautiful dogs, Piano 2 y/o & Arena 4 y/o.
Piano fell totally in love with my granddaughter.
Meri has started her fish foot SPA business some three years ago. Her guestbook was filled with happy messages and thank you notes from all the customers she has been treating since.
Meri gave us also a foot massage after the fish were done with us.
I found out that Meri has been living in Spain for two years prior to starting her business.
It was funny to hear that Meri lives now in the same building which we lived in the mid 1970s.
My American granddaughter was excited about the whole idea as they do not have it back at home in the USA.
Meri was camera shy, nevertheless, she kindly agreed to pose for me in front of one of the many other pictures hanging on the walls.
"I never know what to do with myself in front of a camera," she said. "I always look tensed, even in school. In all my childhood pictures I look so silly," she added and laughed.
I left enough space around Meri to make her feel more comfortable.
When we leaved the place, Meri hugged us and said in Finnish: "Te olette ihania."
"You are wonderful, come back again tomorrow !"

By the end of antiquity, the city Apollonia was largely depopulated, hosting only a small Christian community. This community (which probably is part of the site of the old city) built on a nearby hill the church of the Dormition of the Theotokos, (Albanian: Shën Mëri), part of the Ardenica Monastery.
