Shrinking violet!
One of the many new brands being rolled out by Go North East is Sunderlanddistrict violet, on Mercedes Citaro operating the 55 service which from tomorrow will just run from Sunderland to Peterlee.
Up until today, alternate journeys have extended beyond Peterlee to Wingate - with some buses already painted, violet branded vehicles have run to Wingate in the last few weeks, but photos will be relatively rare.
This afternoon 5334/BJ10 VUU was captured in Castle Eden, between Peterlee and Wingate.
City service Citaro.
First has recently transferred several Mercedes Citaros into its Worcester fleet, some of which carry the Nimrod branding for the 35 route, while the remainder, apart from a grey liveried spare bus, have received the fuscia front Urban livery favoured by the Midland (Wyvern, Leicester and Potteries) division of First.
64016 was transferred in from the Southampton operations of First Hampshire and Dorset. It was new in Berkshire as LT52WXO.
LK05FCZ is a Mercedes Citaro O530G AB49T new as Centrewest EA11060 in April 2005. It is one of a few still running for McGill's and was turning at St Mirren Brae in Paisley.

McGill's Mercedes Benz Citaro G 3347 BT66GWM is seen at Wemyss Bay whilst operating service 901 towards Glasgow.
Here in this photograph we have this Arriva Shire & Essex Mercedes O.530 Citaro registered BU06HSO with the fleet number of 3909 seen here at Central Milton Keynes, The Point boarding for a Service 150 to Aylesbury.
This vehicle was new to Arriva East Herts & Essex as 3909 in August 2006.
Go North East's Mercedes Citaro 5297 NK08CGZ is pictured on a misty Market Street, operating a 'Quaylink' Service Q2 to Heworth, on October 28th 2015. It is likely that this vehicle will be branded for the 'Fab Fifty Seven' in the near future.

The last time that I photographed Mercedes Citaro BD57WDL was in August 2010 on Horse Guards Avenue when it was London General's MAL101 (www.flickr.com/photos/emdjt42/4897109490), but it looks a lot different here in Churchill Square. Brighton, as Brighton & Hove's 108, on September 14th 2016.
