Makam Mbah Maridjan, Perkuburan Dusun Slunen, Sleman. The final place where Mbah Maridjan (Mas Penewu Surakso Hargo) was laid to rest. The spiritual guardian or "gatekeeper" of the Mount Merapi volcano was one of the victims of the volcano's last eruption in 26 October 2010.

Merapi Lava Tour. Sand mining seems to be the principal activity around the Sabo dams where the cold lava flow carrying sand, boulders and debris are contained by the barriers during heavy torrential rain. This is a hazardous activity. Any sudden downpour of heavy rainfall will cause subsequent cold lava flow and they could be easily trapped.
