The Preto river, which rises at the base of Pico do Cristal, forms the Farofa, Sete Pilões and Aurélio waterfalls, on the Minas side.
The Sete Pilões waterfall is close to the Macieira camp and can be accessed by a 210 m / 689 ft long trail. Along its route, there are several practically circular wells with bluish water, which resemble pylons.
Camping at 1,860 m / 6,102 ft of altitude and that can be reached by 3,3 km / 2,05 miles of roads from the entrance of Pedra Menina (Espírito Santo State), being close to the São Domingos River.

It is located in the Espírito Santo portion of the Park, about 9 km / 5,59 miles from the Pedra Menina entrance. It consists of a camping area located on a plateau with predominantly rocky fields vegetation. On site there are traces of an old stone shelter, in addition to facilities and a recently built guardhouse.
Visitor behavior:
Place with lower demand than the camps accessed from the Alto Caparaó Gate. People stay overnight in the place to go to Pico da Bandeira or see nearby attractions and others use the place as a way to reach Pico. However, unlike Terreirão, there are no problems with non-camping visitors.
PS. Our tents in the background.
We prefered to stay among the trees for protection from the winds, following the recommendation of our hired driver.

As our old backyard fence began to tilt and threaten to fall into the laneway, we had to secure it before we were able to replace it with a new one that will hopefully be with us for many years.

Met him today passing through the city and had my photo taken with his experienced polaroid! Taken with the a6000 + Super takumar 50mm f1.4.
Found a couple of books on Sashiko embroidery on the way to the photography section at the library. I'm now hooked!
This is my first knee mend which i know is super untidy but they're old jeans and I've come to rather like the shambles.
She is like the water where I clean my baby
Floating from the front into the back to keep me
warm enough to cover me from getting chilly
Cool enough to hide me from the heat
She is like a splinter that I caught in my toe
running from the dog that chases me
sharp enough to teach a lesson that I must learn
soft enough to never make me bleed
And I will find you there
And I will mend your heart
And I will find you there
And I will mend your heart
She is like a cigarette inside an ashtray
Nothing but a fire sets her free
Filling up my lungs until my body needs her
holding on so I can never breathe
She is like a gravestone sitting in a church yard
Crooked from the ground in which she sleeps
Whispering our name until I go to meet her
Underneath the ground she finds her peace
And I will find you there
And I will mend your heart
And I will find you there
And I will mend... your heart
… I had the supreme pleasure of meeting Mr. Louis Mendes with his vintage Graflex Speed Graphic camera outfitted with two flash units and a Polaroid back and his friend. A true gentleman and very interesting to talk with. I felt a bit guilty taking this portrait with my mobile, but I was out making groceries, so I had to use the tool at hand. ⚜️
Google him if you are not familiar.

WOW! That is so incredible! I was on the train with friends just trying to be a hack street photographer and he was on the train! Had no idea who he was or why he was carrying those awesome bags! Life is so weird! That is the coolest ever! Sounds like an interesting man and artist! SO COOL!

Macro Mondays: Redux 2016--My Favorite Theme of the Year
My redux is from the November 21st theme - Stich. I had essentially taken this exact same shot, but when I went to post it I had forgotten to factor in the end of daylight saving time.and the the posting for that week had closed. This was one of my favorite MM shots, so I am very happy to have a second chance to share.
I met the legendary Louis Mendes in New York and had an unforgettable conversation with him and my son. Check this out: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_Mendes#/media/File%3AMr._Lo...
