While in Denmark, we visited this place: "Men meets the Sea", in Esbjerg....It was a rainy, humid, cloudy day....May be because of that it made such an impression on me...They stand like modern pharaons...Are they looking at the Sea? May be at the Stars? Are they men? May be Gods...?
We're starting up a Men's Shed in Acharacle. But, of course, first we needed a shed. And in that respect we think we've found a good one. It's the old boathouse at Acharacle Pier with a very enviable view over Loch Shiel and the mountains beyond. The tin roof needs replacing. The walls need repairing or replacing in places. It needs doors. It needs electricity, power and lighting. It needs to be secure. But the kind lady who owns it is prepared to let the men of Acharacle do as they wish of it for the greater good of the community.
Connection, conversation and creation – that’s what joining a Men’s Shed is all about. Men’s Sheds encourage people to come together to make, repair and repurpose, supporting projects in their local communities. Improving wellbeing, reducing loneliness and combatting social isolation.
We need funding and are starting the process of applying for grants and donations, and then we can get to work. There are hundreds, if not thousands of Men's Sheds across the world, especially in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the UK, and the latest member in Acharacle shows that the organisation is growing. We'll be close to the bar at the Loch Shiel Hotel, and for snacks at the East to West bakery and takeaway. We may invest in solar power for the shed and repair the jetty to enhance it for LochShielCruises, offering, tea, coffee and cakes and a shop for MANMADE products such as bird boxes, benches, tables. We have all sorts of ideas, legal and illegal. Every man's shed is different , but they are a great idea in every community, wherea common purpose is needed to bring people (even women, too!) together.

At the end of an 8 mile dirt road in the Northwest corner of Arches National Park, is a trail that leads to Tower Arch. On the way there, you are led past the Marching Men formation, which looks like a downward procession of several figures. Note the noses, eyes and brows of the first two in particular. This is a wonderful hike with great scenery that even my 3 year-old could mostly complete. And there were very few people in this section of the park, which is notable for Arches.

I spotted this rather unusual sight in the harbour at Belfast , Maine in the United States. Not sure what they are doing but my guess its a QAnon training exercise looking for the reptiles that control the planet they could after all be underwater . On the other hand the purpose of these red men could be completely rational

Die Halde Haniel in Bottrop ist mit 159 m Höhe eine der höchsten Halden des Ruhrgebiets. Aufgetürmt wurde sie in Form zweier Spiralen durch Abraum der Steinkohlezeche Prosper-Haniel.

A jibe at classical art....I found these heavy large tubes in a dumpster, painted them and added wood circles from home depot...then painted flat busts to put on top, painted both sides. They stood about 6 feet tall.
