Lake McDonald, Glacier National Park. Such great memories and photo opportunities at this lake, I'm just counting down the days until I'm back in Glacier.

Maroon 5 - Memories
Here's to the ones that we got
Cheers to the wish you were here, but you're not
'Cause the drinks bring back all the memories
Of everything we've been through
Toast to the ones here today
Toast to the ones that we lost on the way
'Cause the drinks bring back all the memories
And the memories bring back, memories bring back you
There's a time that I remember, when I did not know no pain
When I believed in forever, and everything would stay the same
Now my heart feel like December when somebody say your name
'Cause I can't reach out to call you, but I know I will one day, yeah
Everybody hurts sometimes
Everybody hurts someday, aye aye
But everything gon' be alright
Go and raise a glass and say, aye
Here's to the ones that we got
Cheers to the wish you were here, but you're not
'Cause the drinks bring back all the memories
Of everything we've been through
Toast to the ones here today
Toast to the ones that we lost on the way
'Cause the drinks bring back all the memories
And the memories bring back, memories bring back you

An old and abandoned dairy auction barn....not really all that interesting. But then you do a little research and discover that it was once someone’s dream to turn the land into an agricultural theme park! Sadly, the plans fell through and the dream probably turned into a nightmare. Twenty years later, the old buildings sit, dilapidated and falling into ruin. Just a faded memory.
Park Hyo Shin - Memories resemble Love
www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZIbDXv7cfA
The wind that’s inside of my heart
is blowing
Like you always have,
you only shook my heart
and left me with
only memories
I lost my way because
I only followed you
without any doubts
so I’ve reached this far
But I’m on an unknown road
and you aren’t with me
Take them,
even our happy memories
Because with out you,
it’ll only be a burden to me
When I keep reviving them
my longing only increases
I end up going back on that road
and it makes me stop walking
Memories are like love
so I’ll keep looking back
That place still has you in it
so I think that’s why it hurts
Because you might glance at me
once, at least once
I’m still waiting for you today
What do I do now
No matter how much I try to escape from you
I can’t even go a few feet away
I live each day
with the same situation
with the same burden
No matter where I look, I can only see you
The eyes you looked at me with
keeps troubling my mind
so I close my eyes again
and try to erase you
but the lips firmly closed tremble
and the tears I’ve held back flow
Memories are like love
so I’ll keep looking back
That place still has you in it
so I think that’s why it hurts
Because you might glance at me
once, at least once
I’m still waiting for you today
What do I do if one day
I turn around and
you’re looking at me
You know well that
I won’t be able to say anything
Memories ride the wind
so it’ll end up being scattered one day but
No matter how I cry or shout
and try to feign ignorance
I still wait for
that person I can’t forget
You know me well

Anzac Day, 25 April, is probably Australia's most important national occasion. It marks the anniversary of the first campaign that led to major casualties for Australian and New Zealand forces during World War One and commemorates all the conflicts that followed.

This house stood in back of my dear friend Larry's house. Larry recently left this life, and I am posting this in memory of this amazing person, who I miss so very much.

Smile on Saturday#Full of Memories
St. John's wort ready for drying
My strongest memories are of my grandmother. In addition to bearing her name, I also have many of her qualities and her loves. From her I learned to love flowers and birds, to cook and make wonderful sweets. She taught me how to dry herbs. This is my favorite picture because whenever I look at it I can even feel the atmosphere and smell of that herb as she prepares it for drying. The light in the picture is exactly what I remember, a constant play of light and darkness, because her house was surrounded by large trees, so the sun was breaking through the branches. As a background, I used the door from her kitchen cupboard and the plate from her garden table. Yes, I loved her very much and I miss her very much but I am happy that she knew I loved her.

Es Vedrá. Isla de Ibiza, Islas Baleares.
España
For all the places that I have traveled, I have always been interested in the best place to watch the sunset and disconnect from everything for at least a few minutes and let the mind fly through the mountains, in the cities, or as in this case in the sea. .
I have chosen this beautiful place of Ibiza in the Balearic Islands from which I keep very fond memories and happy and very funny moments, and in which despite being surrounded by hundreds of people who come from all over the world and gather here to see this spectacular scenery hear the waves arrive, smell the sea breeze ... and if you follow the line of the sun to the islet of Es Vedrá, the magic of the place will make you disconnect and evoke many good memories ...
----------------------------------------

The old, fashinating house where I lived when I roled in Goatswood, it is in the lovely courtyard near the library. Nice memories :)
Now that I have found the way of time
I will come back more often here in this house
where you have been young and happy
to see me even in incognito
with the dairy cow in the nearby stable
and you will give me a basket of splendid red apples as usual juicy
then I will leave you with the promise to come back soon
and you will answer me with a bright and sure smile!
So losing myself in the used alleys
I will think tomorrow I'll say who I am

There were some lovely angelica plants around this icy and colourful river pool. I found out that the snow around the pool was sitting on ice and very slippery!
Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a pink or purple day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Smile on Saturday is « full of memories ».
When I was about 9 years old, we moved from Poland to Algeria. My Dad was working there. As a little girl I missed my grandmother very, very much. Back then there was no internet and even telephone wasn’t a very efficient way of keeping contact between Poland and Algeria. So , for several weeks I was saving my lunch money to buy a gift for my grandmother. I got her this tiny necklace. I went to this flea market and I bargained with the seller until we both reach an acceptable price. And the necklace was mine.It is called « hamsa » (it means five) and it is a very, very popular amulet in Middle East. Hamsa is supposed to bring you good fortune and protect the bearer from the « evil eye ». It was a perfect gift for my grandmother, so far away from me… This amulet was supposed to protect her from anything bad. And it did !! My grandmother was always wearing this necklace. For years. The last time I saw her, she had her necklace with her. She told me that the necklace was reminding her of me and our family so far away but so close in her heart…. The necklace traveled with her, through Europe, Russia and almost to Japan. When she died, peacefully in her sleep wearing her necklace near her heart, she was at peace. At one point, I got my necklace back. It went from Algeria to Poland, from Poland all around the glob and then back to Montreal, Canada. Since then, I always keep it with me… I truly believe it will protect me from anything bad…and each time I touch it, it brings an amazing amount of very good memories.
And if you want to know more about « hamsa », here is the link : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamsa
Mucho, mucho amor for you all !! Have a beautiful day and see you later!!
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!! And see you soon on Flickr !!
Today's Smile on Saturday theme is full of memories. A very interesting theme, but hard for me. I have so many wonderful memories. Many of them revolve around our boat and the family and friends who joined us cruising. But even limiting myself to boating photos, there were so many truly awesome places that we visited, I couldn't chose one. So I chose this one - an everyday type of place and scene. Put it in mono since it's a memory now, as is our boat, which we sold in early 2020.
This is our Brazilian exchange student daughter and Bert delighting in the chance to experience a snow storm 7 years ago. I just came across this image and it brought back many beautiful memories.
Icelandic Poppies hold a special place in my heart. I love their delicate petals and stunning center. This image was the last one captured before the flowers stopped blooming. Here's to planning those Spring gardens.

The Old Manor House and the memories from within.
The laughter, fun, jokes and tales of the Sea's.
All have ebbed never to return as like faded History pages.
They silently and slowly crumble then fade away.
A collage of memories! My grandparents, a Kansas City skyline, the house I remember and portions of letters they wrote to each other are all included. Still, it doesn’t show the Friday night movies in downtown theaters or the family gatherings for holidays. Not pictured are the trips to the Plaza or birthday parties or stories read to us. Also missing—flying homemade kites with my grandfather and a card game around the table. The memories are all there, just not visible….
