Sharing my bright & beautiful Double Hibiscus with you, to brighten your day my friends! Happy weekend =)

Do I detect a smile on its face? A smiley bee, whatever next?
I think the picture is at its best when viewed from a distance.
So, lean back and zoom right in while in lightbox and on full screen, of course!
★ Food for thought :
The bee is fast becoming an endangered species in many parts of the world. In France, the newly arrived Asian hornet is just another nail in the coffin. Without the bee, we too could well become an endangered species! :-(( - Love thy neighbour and thy bee however small and insignificant it may appear to be.

Take great care, my friends, and many, many thanks for calling,

LOCK-DOWN
This is the third series of images from the lockdown. This time I have only included photography from Our Garden. It is quite colourful this year.
I thought we were done for the season and then this cropped up from behind the spirea, a very nice surprise. None of the other daylilies bloomed this year. But there are enough flowers of various kinds to attract the bees, butterflies and other insects. The ants took care of the spongy moth caterpillars, so our trees didn't lose the leaves that the city warned us about. Thank God for nature's checks and balances.

On the banks of the lake, the trees show their mellow tones of yellow and tinges of red , the bright colours of Autumn, for the moment brighten the shorter days of October.

English Counties
This is another collection of images which have been photographed over a long period of time. These are photographs taken mostly on holidays throughout our great English Counties. In the day we have travelled the length and breadth of Great Britain, with many coastal and country walks and a lot of photography.
This selection has been in and around Bournmouth in Dorset. A wonderful county to visit.

Now, as kings and lions go¹, Leo is quite small; only a few millimetres from end to end but he's a great king and lionheart ...
... not to mention that gorgeous mane, Leo's main feature!
When there's nectar up for grabs², Leo always gets the lion's share and, with a fur coat like his, most of the pollen into the bargain!³
Let's not talk about his roar, eh? (ツ)

Poetic licence
It has occurred to me that Leo could have been a female dressed up by my title as a male. These days, of course, anything goes does it not? And besides, "Lilly the Dande Lioness Queen" doesn't have the same ring to it nor does it roll off the tongue in quite the same way as my title does. So, Leo it is!

It was a very windy day, but I walked and walked and the grass, trees and flowers accompanied me on that beautiful day.
HGGT everyone.
Ok I could not resist this silly song as Heliconias are a genus of the Banana Family. Enjoy the song :)
As ( or more ) beautiful as the day she was built.
It was as if this gorgeous, shiny, immaculate, canary yellow Ford drove right out of the 1930's and into 2017.
With a few well earned modifications of course :-)
Still turning heads

19th March 2022 :
Our Sedums plants are flowering, although at the moment the Jade plant at the back, doesn't seem to be, sadly.
Graham noticed the dust on the table the other day and said it was Sahara dust. I wasn't convinced, thought it was dust from the building work going on at the top of our garden. However, while I was out yesterday, I saw a lot more, especially on the tops of the bollards near home.
