Melbourne viewed from the Engineers Australia offices at 600 Burke Street.

Taken from bridge near the Docklands looking towards the city.

From inside St Pauls, Melbourne Australia

Scraping out the very bowels of the hard drive. This one dates from 2009.

A container ship passed Williamstown as the sun lit up a small area in the foreground - otherwise a very grey and dull day.

Captured early in the morning from the Webb Dock Trail.

This was originally a 3 shot panorama of Melbourne's Yarra River and Docklands precinct. In the end, I only used a sliver of the left most shot as the low height of the distant buildings detracted from the composition.

The next time I do one of these shots, I might try an exposure bracketed set to see if I can capture the name on the side of Marvel Stadium.

One from a visit a while ago, Taken with a small compact camera.

These days, Melbourne has the world's longest tram network. Melbourne's trams come in all kinds of shapes and sizes, this tram is not the most modern, but I got a shot of it without cars and people cluttering up my photo. I love Melbourne for its trams.

Also, there is a City Circle Tram that operates from 10 am to 6 pm daily; It's free to hop on and off at any point along the route. City Circle Tram are heritage trams that are rattly, rickety, a challenge to board and not wheelchair accessible.

CBD in golden sunset light on a cool winter day. It was my first visit down under and I loved it. Yery impressed amongst other things with this vibrant city and the beautiful skyscapes, fast changing light and clouds almost every day. Awesome place.

5-minute-long exposure, taken about 10 minutes before sunset, the golden light hitting the top of the tallest buildings.

I was hoping for a glorious sunset. It did happen, but it was over the Western suburbs instead of the city.

A beautiful evening spent along Southbank with the FFF+.

this where good quality lenses and high resolution sensors come into their own. This is approx 1/8 of the original image and still nice and crisp.

Alternative view of the dome at Melbourne Central. This was a very fortunate find as I had just stepped out of Melbourne Central to check where I wanted to go next when I looked across the road and saw this reflection. It's always good to see something familiar from a different perspective.

Another shot from the Arts Centre, Melbourne.

Autumn in Melbourne is always beautiful, with many wonderful deciduous trees full of colour and ornamental vines like this one, but you have to be quick to catch the latter for the red tones of the season come on very quickly, and just as quickly the leaves are gone.

Melbourne has experienced a wonderful Indian summer this year, and as a result, not only are there still plenty of beautiful blooms about, but the Autumnal colours are starting to appear.
