On a quick trip to Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge in Delaware I discovered over a dozen Great Blue Heron's. I don't feel I did them justice, so I am going to have to go back quite a bit.

One more photo of my personal butterfly day lst weekend. We see a common brimstone, in the background we see the silhouette of a red admiral. Again in backlight - I really like that transparence of the wings

When you meet someone new, it’s like opening up a new door of possibilities into the way your life can be. But, the thing is, people always show you their best selves when they start a relationship and it’s hard to know if those are the long lasting qualities or if it’s just to make a good impression before the bad traits show themselves-the drinking too much, the affairs, the vulgar jokes, the gambling, the passive aggression-all those vices that make us human but also make us toxic to one another. I was lucky enough to meet someone that stayed the same way he was when I met him and we’ve been together for over 20 years but I know this is not often the case...

Oddly enough, I find meeting someone new often similar to traveling to a new place.

A meeting, an exchange and it all slips away into the night.

Elemental meeting.

This meeting of the Earth, sea and sky provides a dramatic landscape.

The photo was taken on the beach at Cromer, Norfolk, England. looking toward Overstrand.

The unusual shapes in the sand in front of me are the remains of SS Fernebo a Swedish ship that sunk in 1917 following an explosion.
