The hillside down from the Rock seems to have been the site of a town, or a load of outbuildings. You can't really see it here, but there's a lot of old stone foundations / basements dug into the hillside.

Previous write up: Russian made to copy the German Zeiss Ikon cameras. This camera takes big 6x9 negatives. The lens is somewhat sharp but not as sharp as the Zeiss Ikon cameras but you have to look really close to find a difference. What I like about this camera is that it folds nice & flat when not in use. The only thing I don't like is that some controls are on opposite sides - like it was made for left-handed people. The shutter release & film advance is on the left so it takes a while to get used to. You can also use both 120 & 220 film. The only bad thing is that you have to guess the film advance on the 220 film. There's a red window in the back that you can open but the film may get fogged if it doesn't have a backing that marks the film counter on 220 film.

Just renovated my grandpa's camera: an Agfa Isolette III with an Agfa Apotar 1:4.5/85 lens. This picture is part of a first test roll.

This was shot at f/32.

Ahh, 2 bucks a gallon. Those were the days.

Taken at the Lakeland Classic Car Rally at Leighton Hall, Carnforth, Lancashire, on 5th July 2015.

These images were all taken with my Hapo 66E medium format folding camera from around 1961. This camera uses 120 roll film which is still easy to obtain, over 100 years after they started making it!

A Sekonic L408 lightmeter was used and the photographs were taken on Fujichrome Velvia RVP100 film.

The images were scanned with an Epson Perfection V750 Pro Scanner using Silverfast 8 Ai and processed using Capture One 8 software for Macintosh.

These are reductions from original 5000 pixel square images (25 megapixels).

Bought a Pentax 6x7. A few shots from the first roll with her. She's a beast and I'm still trying to get the hang of it haha.

A test of the Hasselblad Flexbody using full shift on the 80mm CF lens. Taken back in November 2010. Those trees are a lot more upright than they would have been with a rigid body... pity I didn't take a 'straight' shot for comparison! Oh, and it was taken on Kodak Ektar 100.

From my Dads Archive

In my ongoing mission to archive my Dads photography I'm now working on his medium format film. I am not spotting these as it takes to much time and in many cases not possible.

It-is-what-it-is, a moment in time.
