This is my beautiful 12 year old kitty; Indica. She passed away December '05 due to massive liver failure. She was so beautiful and such a loving cat! Almost 25 pounds of joy...
She had been medicated for hypothyroidism which can aggravate the liver and cause other problems. We knew she wasn't feeling well for about a week but we never expected for her to leave us so suddenly. She chose to die in my arms the minute that daddy left the room to catch his breath outside the vet's. It would have been too much for him to see his girl take her last breath. She knew I could take that moment with her…better.
I cannot begin to explain what the following next 6 months were for me. It is the hardest thing I have been through; like loosing a child (I guess). My sadness was like nothing anyone can imagine. You just always think that you could have done more and the guilt nearly killed me! I was ill for a while...The vet said that she could've had cancer, diabetes, etc...
Now I just rely on the beautiful memories which will never leave me :o) She was my daily companion. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of her...She will always be missed...
