Sea water trapped on the beach

The River Barle meanders through Cornham Brake in Exmoor National Park on a wet and cold autumn day.

I'd been meaning to go back to this very picturesque spot to try and get some more interesting light, but lockdown / covid stopped play. I'll have to make do with this shot instead 😊

Can't wait to get back to the Dales, but will wait and avoid the inevitable stampede once we're all set free again. I like solitude!

I was quite taken with this meandering tree looming out of the mist in front of a more regimental beech. Taken at The Hangings, Whiteleaf, Buckinghamshire.

Thank you for all your kind comments and faves.

Superb conditions pretty much everyday this week in West Sussex. I've shot this particular scene a few times and couldn't resist another go with it like this.

The old, cut off meanders of the river Scheldt in Flanders offer some beautiful spots for a stroll in nature, as here in Meerse (Kluisbergen) near Oudenaarde.

I shot this one during a recent walk in a forest, it was a beautiful day more like spring than winter and it was ever so tranquil.

The location is the Greeto Water Falls in North Ayrshire on the west coast of Scotland.

Gentle September light through the trees.

Lake Hayes. Otago, New Zealand.

Always nice to come across moving waters when you’re out and about. You can hear the waters while walking but not yet sure of there origin of whereabouts. Nature has so much in store for us in the ways of mystery, beauty and awe. When we think we’ve seen and witnessed the best of Nature’s majesty she always surprises us with more. Thanks for viewing my photos. Gratitude and Kindness can help fulfill your day no matter where you are on your so be patient and grateful.

Happy fence Friday!

Paria River, Cottonwood Canyon, Utah.

Another from the snowy morning at Whiteleaf, Buckinghamshire. Loved how the track meandered its way through the trees. The green of the woodland floor is just starting to show, well if it wasn't for the snow, so be interesting to see what carpets this patch of the wood in a few weeks.

Goosenecks State Park, Utah

Goosenecks State Park is small and largely undeveloped. It affords impressive views of one of the most striking examples of an entrenched river meander on the North American continent. Gaze at the results of 300 million years of geological activity, where the San Juan River winds and carves its way through the desert 1,000 feet (300 m) below.

Many people debate between Goosennecks and Horseshoe Bend. I visited both and Goosenecks turned out to be the hands down winner to me - impressive view + no crowds + secure railing. On top of these pros, anyone like me who bump into Canadian goose on a regular basis would feel sentimental to see the resemblance. 😊 It is the best $5 spent for 1 view ever in my opinion.

At dam lake in the dry season

The trail meanders through the summer forest.

A walk in the woods, the first for some months.

As I was returning home after a visit to a local sightseeing trip near an ecopark our car stopped at a local tea stall for a cup of Coffee. The landscape view and meandering road was just breathtaking from this point and the entire mountain was covered with mist and sky with pinkish clouds of sunset which was fast approaching!

Happy Sliders Sunday!
