Nachdem 66422 am Morgen einige Tesco Container, beladen mit vielen Meal Deals für die schottischen Filialen des Detailhändlers. Am Nachmittag war dann die Rückleistung mit den Leeren Containern dran. Nach diesem Bild ging es nach Aberdeen, um am nächsten Tag den Caledonian Sleeper zu sehen.
If you're looking for a cheap meal, the Club Cal Neva in Reno could be just the place for you. If you're looking for a good meal, you may choose to look elsewhere. At $4.99 a plate, I'm thinking those grill marks on that New York steak, may actually be the marks where the jockey was whipping it.

Boeing beef pastrami salad, with caesar ponzu dressing ( of course ) onboard the Lufthansa Boeing 747-800.
Described as a light lunch on the two hour flight, featuring the new "Heimat " enhanced onboard catering, local foods from different regions of Germany.
Seen during an amazing experience on a one off flight from Frankfurt to Palma by Lufthansa to add capacity at the start of the Easter holidays 2022.
Thanks very much to the very friendly & helpful crew on LH 1158 for making the flight memorable.

Lufthansa & apples havent been the sweetest of things lately.
Neither the one you can eat, nor the one you tag on your baggage have received good press on social media.
The real one, as part of the "tasting heimat " revamp has been much derided by frequent flies who have described the handing out of these apples after the main meal as a hygene issue. Then there's the Apple airtags, booming in sales recently with all the lost & delayed hold baggage, Lufthansa banning them from their flights because of bluetooth signals affecting aircraft communications.
Nevertheless, this one is....ready to eat.
Tim, JJ and I were all rather tired in the evening while we were staying in Bristol, so grabbed these meal deals in Boots and ate them in the hotel room. Can you guess who choose each sandwich?
these 2 spiders shared this crane fly. taken through a pvc window. i was inside the spiders were outside.
initially one spider had the struggling fly and then i watched the other spider join from below.
at this stage I went a got the camera. Not a great picture but I found it interesting to see
Seaside kitsch at the entrance to the Grand Pier, Weston-super-Mare. I so wanted a photograph of someone eating a hot dog looking up at this with a suitably mortified expression, but they weren't selling hot dogs on a wet December morning and my Photoshop skills aren't up to it :(

I had a major hangover.
And I was thirsty for food and fizz and I had a belt of meal deal vouchers I picked up with a receipt from some tourist attraction I visited with the boys a while back.
I go to McDonald's perhaps once a year or eighteen months. Despite much improved interiors and colour scheme the food remains as dull, tasteless and, well, awful as it always has been.
By the way. After eating this I went and got a McChicken Sandwich meal and ate that too. It was only by an act of willpower of gargantuan effort that I did not use the rest of my belt of cheap deals in one sitting. I'm saving the rest for when my dole money runs out in a week.

Another random Sunday, another lunch at the Harvester Monkspath (near Shirley in Solihull).
Orange and green balloons out. I assume for St Patrick's Day. Or for a £9.99 meal deal!
This week's meal deal from the New World in Porirua.
Each week they put together some groceries that make a meal and charge $20 for it. The cost of the items any other week is always significantly higher. If it is a meal that I can freeze, either cooked portions or as individual parts, or use differently, I buy it.
Last week the deal with crumbed fish, oven chips, frozen vegetables and ice cream.
This week's meal is pizza.
I don't want pizza six days in a row but the bases can be frozen, as can the cheese and the bacon (or I can cook it in a different meal) and the ham can go into sandwiches.

Trying out Cook Well meal boxes from Waitrose. All the ingredients ready and organised to cook Spiced Chickpea Dhal with tikka roasted carrots &treacle roasted potatoes. It was nice but fiddly...... had at a special introductory offer 50% off. Good experiment but one we probably won’t repeat at full price 😉

The veg cost me $7.50. There was a mango this week but, as I don't like mangoes, I let my friend have the whole mango, not just half.

The $20 meal deal from New World in Porirua would have cost $31.34 if not in the meal deal.

it is a happy day when the the m&s dine in for two for £10 deal comes to town.
you get 1 main, 1 side, 1 dessert and a bottle of wine - all for ten english pounds!
the only downside is the wine tends to be a little vinegary... but if you drink through the bitterness, it gets better after a few glasses ;) *hic*
so, today, i despatched mr .sweeney to acquire said deal, and i thought it might be interesting, maybe, if i also went to acquire a selection separately.
