Travelling the Great Ocean Road along Victorias coast provides for some scenic backdrops.
I've delved into the archives for a shot from nearly 2 years ago taken on a friends DSLR, before I even had my own.
I haven't taken any new pics lately because I've just been too busy. No excuse but deadlines upon deadlines kinda gets to you so you need a creative break and I resort to post processing old images.
Until the next image, be good everyone.
Brand new 2026 Case B recolour of the Matchbox 2019 Mazda3 which shimmers in a metallic colour so dark I can't decipher whether its black or a very dark green. Either way it comes from a long line of great releases this casting has enjoyed since it first appeared back in 2020, many duplicates which predictably reside in my collection.
A smart clean looking hatchback captured very well by Matchbox with few obvious cost saving measures to spoil the effect.
Mint and boxed.
I got a shiny new* Mazda3! It's great! It doesn't smell of dead fish, the window trim hasn't been burnt off by the sun, the passenger window rolls up without having to be pushed outward, the exhaust doesn't sound like a raspy food blender, it's got more kit than the Albanian navy, and... somehow the rear legroom is worse. But that's okay because I never have passengers! Time to clean it up and make it extra mad. Bring forth the Polish!!! Er... make that "polish."
*It's new to me, anyway.

Second Mazda 3 shot in series. Decided to go less processed on this one. Thoughts?
The brand new Matchbox 2019 Mazda3 is FINALLY here after several delays to its production. Very eagerly awaited by many collectors though in all honesty they might be a little bit disappointed with its debut release. Matchbox have given it a very flat unexciting maroon colour instead of a more vibrant metallic plus its wheel choice is also a little bit uninspiring considering the card artwork shows it with darkened wheels. Otherwise its a fine model with the above concerns easily rectified with its next recolour. Mint and boxed.
- This was the last location of our second photoshoot together. Thanks for being a unique model to work with :)
A much delayed, much anticipated and thus much hyped new Matchbox release which when I first obtained one a few months back did disappoint somewhat. Ugly wheels and a dreary colour compared to the card artwork didn't help matters but after finding more from Tesco recently I'm actually beginning to appreciate it more.
Its U.S. one Dollar price point means it will never be as good as say a Tomica but what you do get is more than acceptable realism and detailing. Mint and boxed.
