Some *cough*blurry*ahem* photos of my Rx3 with the new rims, and some more meaningful results.

As far as clutch power is concerned, they stuck fine to the technic axle I first tried them on. But after a few uses on the car, the wheels have already become woefully loose and fall off the car at the slightest provocation. I'm hoping that a light coat of paint will help. I'm also hoping it will smooth of the mildly sandy surface, which is constantly getting dust on my tires.

Additionally, I had remarked that Shapeways rounded off my measurements. This turned out not to be the case and I was simply mistaken. No rounding has occurred, the wheels were the correct 20mm width just like the stock Lego ones. Shapeways printed exactly what I sent them. I don't know were 22mm came from in my head. :|

This is the first generation Mazda T-series (Titan), produced in Japan from 1971 to 1980, in 1977 the light truck received a facelift. This is a 1971-1977 example.

The oldest Mazda I saw in Malta, and perhaps the coolest. Not keen on the bonnet lift and I'd prefer a 3 door, but it must be decades since I saw a 323 of this vintage.

Fall reflections in the Mazda.

The Xedos 9 was introduced by Mazda in 1993. The model was intended for Mazda's luxury brand Amati, which didn't come to live. Instead Xedos was a sort of sub-brand in Europe. In other markets the car was sold as Eunos 800 or Mazda Millenia. Mazda ended production of the Xedos 9 and the Xedos sub-brand in 2002.

Spotted by my brother.

There was a glimpse of this in the background of the 180B estate photo. It was one of two in the yard (sadly I didn't get a shot of the other one) and it made for an interesting comparison with the Datsun Laurel 1800 and Toyota Mark II 1900 (Motor magazine did a review of the three of them back in 1970/71).

I believe it's an 1800 due to the bonnet vents, but I'm happy to be corrected.

The Mazda Biante is an 8-seater minivan built for the Japanese market from 2008 until 2018. It is based on the Mazda 5. This one has a 2.0 litre engine with 151 PS. It's the only one registered in the Netherlands. Saw it before but his time I could take better pictures.

I first built a Mazda RX-8 way back in 2008, but took it apart several years later. I always thought they were pretty cars, so when I started building cars for Japan BrickFest and found a Japanese RX-8 police car, I immediately built one. I was never completely happy with it though. The black colour scheme obscured the model's shape. So, I've built another Japanese Police car (pictures sometime in the next few weeks) and rebuilt the RX-8 in a much more suitable red colour.
