The first stage of the Tour of Anchorage was a 5 mile Time Trial. I held back a bit the first half to save up for the hill climb back to the finish. But knowing my strong and weak points I looked for every opportunity to cut time. This was right after the turn around, I indulged in a full output to get up to speed on the flat before the climb. A good race for me, 5 out of 8 in my age group, I was happy about the whole thing.
