This is one from last winter. This eagle graced me with getting quite close. Those eyes are so intense. I never get tired of photographing eagles whenever I get the chance.
I have been having some serious problems with my internet (rural living). I am lucky if this photo is posted. If my internet seems to be restored I will try and catch up. Be well all and thanks as always for the kind comments, views and support.
Calmly striding through the grasses and wildflowers of Badlands National Park. I like the scientific name for this species: "bison bison bison".
Recently, the Badlands NP bison herd received the gift of a much larger roaming territory. An additioinal 22,553 acres were added, giving the herd a total of 80,193 acres. A partnership consisting of the World Wildlife Federation, the National Park Foundation, Defenders of Wildlife, The Nature Conservancy, the Badlands Natural History Association and the Badlands National Park Conservancy—helped make this happen.
Good stuff!!
