An old mattress left on the footpath of a suburban street. The council has already been and tagged it with hazard tape and a sign threatening a $5K fine. I suspect the dumper has already moved out of the area.
Buildings exclusively offered on my backstreets tour of Winnipeg and none other! The brown building with the prominent rear fire escape has a Serta Mattress sign on the front door. City tax assessors classify the building as a warehouse. The front of the rusted metal sided building will be shown in a future post.
We’ve had a vegan, natural latex mattress for the last seven years and in the past few years, we weren’t that happy with it. After doing some research, we decided to replace it with one from Avocado because the reviews were terrific (www.avocadogreenmattress.com). They’re also organic, all natural, handmade in the USA, and the company is carbon negative plus gives 1% back to environmental nonprofits.
Even more, they give you a one year trial (costing you nothing if you decide it’s not for you) and a 25 year warranty.

Then I see a sleeper sofa under a carport - a man under some sheets - it was like he set up his bedroom outside - complete with nightstand. He tried to guess the breeds of our 3 dogs and acted like this was a perfectly normal social interaction. Just when you've think you've seen it all....

This company, founded in 1926, still exists but manufactures its mattresses only in BC. Tax Assessment information suggests that the building is owned by CNR railroad and is located on "contaminated soil." It is taxed as a "warehouse."
