This shot is based on the scene where two agents come to the office building where Neo works... Neo is instructed by Morpheus to hide from them and avoid capture as Morpheus doesn't know what they will do with him...

I wasn't able to get the right brown hairpieces for all agents as they actually have brown hair in the movie so based them on the agents which appeared in the Lego Batman movie!!!

Matrix Video...Dedicated TO My Lovely Sis Soyla, I Really Enjoyed The Photo Shooting...It Was Fun...Espero q Te Guste El Video...Te Kiero!

A college student walks past the halls of the California State University Fullerton Library with a seemingly infinite row of books

A combination of names carved into a glass panel, and the reflection of a phrase on the Tate Modern, give this one a feel of The Matrix.

Hello everyone!!! Here another scene with Morpheus and Neo training in the computer simulated dojo...

Although Neo stands his ground against Agent Smith, the Agent proves to be impossible to beat due to his limitless stamina.

Neo decides to run, steals a mobile phone from a pedestrian and asks the operator on Morpheus's ship for an exit out of the Matrix.

The operator guides Neo to a phone in a building on Wabash and lake...

Neo, now being chased by three Agents has to get to that phone before they kill him...

The iconic rooftop scene from the original The Matrix movie recreated in LEGO. Made for a movie contest hosted by Brikkelauget

This is a shot looking north across Grand Canyon from the visitor’s center at the south rim. It is sunrise and the mist hasn’t burned off just yet. It is a single image, processed as a black and white, much the same way Ansel Adams processed his work of that area.

When I visited the Grand Canyon last year, I was new to HDR photography. I had this new hammer and, by Jove, everything was going to be pounded in like it was a nail. I took several hundred Grand Canyon shots, all bracketed nicely. I returned home eager to process them.

I processed many and, do you know what? I didn’t like them that much. They just didn’t spark my enthusiasm like the original.

Today, as I was reading “Ansel Adam’s An Autobiography,” published 1985, a year after Ansel Adam’s passing, I found a photo on page 88, titled “From Point Imperial, Grand Canyon National Park, 1942.”(a) The photo accurately depicts the haze seen far across the canyon as well as the clarity of objects in the foreground. The haze suggests immense distance and scale and it has a distinct ethereal feel to it. Ansel Adams did this with the crafty use of development times, well chosen chemicals, and the proper printing techniques.

As I gazed at his work, I realized that many of my Grand Canyon photos had a similar look. The raw image had all I needed to produce a good print - I didn’t need all that fancy HDR stuff! In the first place, the haze restricts the overall contrast and, so, HDR really doesn’t have much to work with in terms of bringing out detail in the shadows. It isn’t the detail in the shadows that makes these images.

So, I threw out the HDR, selected a single image that had its own ethereal beauty to it, and processed it for levels only.

I like the result. Your mileage may vary.

Process:

Nikon D200, 40mm, lens 35.0-80.0 mm, f/4, 1/60sec, ISO 100, WB Auto, Matrix metering, single exposure (no HDR). Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 include:

a. Convert to black and white using a red filter.

b. Level adjustments (black level, white level, gamma). This is, essentially, what Ansel Adams accomplished through control of chemicals, paper selection, processing times, temperatures, etc.

c. No sharpening, no local burning or dodging.

d. Rendered result is uncropped from the original.

Observations:

1. This is one of a seven shot bracketed group (7 shots, 1 stop each). The HDR color rendition looks nice but, I think, the color is distracting from the suggestion of immense scale.

2. There is not a huge dynamic range in the shot due to the haze or mist in the canyon.

3. As for resolution and clarity, the use of HDR can lead to trouble in this regard as the computer attempts to register multiple shots. Not so with a single image.

4. I shoot everything in RAW format (NEF) and, therefore, can go back to the original at anytime and reprocess using new ideas - just as I have done with this image nearly a year later. Ansel Adams did that with negatives taken many years before as he learned new techniques in the darkroom or as new technology was developed.

Being contacted by Morpheus on a delivered mobile phone Neo is alerted to agents, sentient programmes who protect the Matrix at all costs.

They are coming for him so he has to escape the office somehow...

As my Matrix' hovership project is still going on, I obviously needed a sentinel. What would be matrix without those squids, huh ?

Anyway, most of the credits for this one goes to Nathan Proudlove as I basically just built his then reworked it to fit my taste. My goal was to keep as much details while reducing the size.

I hope you'll enjoy !

Abaut The Matrix:

The Matrix is a 1999 science fiction film written and directed by The Wachowskis, starring Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss, Hugo Weaving, and Joe Pantoliano. It depicts a dystopian future in which reality as perceived by most humans is actually a simulated reality called "the Matrix", created by sentient machines to subdue the human population, while their bodies' heat and electrical activity are used as an energy source. Computer programmer Neo learns this truth and is drawn into a rebellion against the machines, which involves other people who have been freed from the "dream world."

The Matrix is known for popularizing a visual effect known as "bullet time", in which the heightened perception of certain characters is represented by allowing the action within a shot to progress in slow-motion while the camera's viewpoint appears to move through the scene at normal speed. The film is an example of the cyberpunk subgenre.[5] It contains numerous references to philosophical and religious ideas, and prominently pays homage to works such as Plato's Allegory of the Cave,[6] Jean Baudrillard's Simulacra and Simulation[7] and Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.[8] The Wachowskis' approach to action scenes drew upon their admiration for Japanese animation and martial arts films, and the film's use of fight choreographers and wire fu techniques from Hong Kong action cinema influenced subsequent Hollywood action film productions.

The Matrix was first released in the United States on March 31, 1999, and grossed over $460 million worldwide. It was well-received by critics[10][11] and won four Academy Awards, as well as other accolades, including BAFTA Awards and Saturn Awards. Reviewers praised The Matrix for its innovative visual effects, cinematography and entertainment value. The film's premise was both criticized for being derivative of earlier science fiction works and praised for being intriguing. The action also polarized critics, some describing it as impressive, but others dismissing it as a trite distraction from an interesting premise.
