Iconic Ikarus trolleybus matching the vibe of Sveta Troitsa (Holy Trinity) neighbourhood's 80's block of flats in the background, rolling near the long closed sugar factory.
In 1898, back then 2.5 km northwest of Sofia a sugar factory was opened by Belgian concessionaires, right where the Sofia-Kyustendil and Sofia-Nis railway lines crossed paths.
The factory used limestone from Slivnitsa and water from the Vladaya River. Production was around 5000 tonnes per year, but the refinery could produce up to 7000 tonnes of refined sugar annually. In 1916 with Bulgaria entering the war on the side of the Central Powers, the Belgian investors sold off the factory and left the country.
In the final of the I. World War, The Vladaia Revolt against King Ferdinand took place on the 24th of September, 1918. Hristo Smirnenski, a Bulgarian poet (coincidentally also born in 1898) witnessed the bloodiest clash of the uprising near this very same sugar factory. This posed such trauma on the young author, that he left the Military School next month.
In 1921 the factory received some modernisation, and one year later the Bulgarian State Railways began construction of residential buildings for their employees near the premises. It was such a success that in 1926 they launched a similar project, but on a much larger scale.
Meanwhile, the factory was closed down in 1925. In October 1941 construction of 350 workers' apartments was started near the abandoned factory, forming a neighbourhood. The new district got its name after the long-gone refinery - Захарна фабрика translates directly to Sugar Factory.
I saw this mother and daughter walking along the southbank in London with matching coats and I thought it would make a nice shot.
I like that the colors of the common blue butterfly (Polyommatus icarus) are matching the backgroud colors. This butterfly was sitting on a fireplace close to the village where I grew up.

En.: Common blue butterfly
De.: Hauhechel-Bläuling

I was at the right time at the right place. The colors in the sky during sunset matched the colors of the tulips perfectly.

The building has been designed by Stephan Braunfels, it is gorgeous down to the humblest detail, and it is very much suited for photography, which is allowed everywhere.

Alana and I both look great in this dress, but we can't help but look at each other and think about who looks better in it.
Thanks for all your comments and faves, much appreciated.
Since Alana can't ever keep me from borrowing her dresses, the best solution is for each of us to have our own.
A collaboration with friend and neighbor, who's a model and gem collector. Her gems. her body. Each of the gems and crystals and minerals are carefully placed on mysterious locations on her body, matching her curves and flow.
Featuring Lady Kat Eyes as the table.
Alana and I were wearing similar style dresses in different colors, but with a little photoshop, I changed the colors so we would completely match.
